I sadly worked in this joint and thanks to the "bully owner" I Never have the chance to even try any of the so called Carolina Style bbq, so we have to lie when a costumer ask how does taste this and that?, anyway, base on what most of the costumers said, seems like is not what mostly people expected, we always run out of meat and other items, the restaurant use digital smokers, wich is nothing special for someone who really knows about bbq, other common problem is the timming, wich could be blame on the servers, but thanks to Howie evertyhing runs even worst, since he acts like he is in top cheff program still ,yelling and screaming like a little bitch, in front of the costumers, some oreders at the same time take 2 minutes while the sameone could take 20 min, well if that's the leader of the group, what do you expect from the rest?... Like a costumer I would no recomend to any of my friends or people I know to go eat there, just beacuse some "Reality Cheff" open a restaurant doesn't mean is has to be good... you were warned.

based on the spelling in the prior post, it is hard to take the content seriously. We will try the restaurant with the hope they hired a new employee.

Just because they were disgruntled, doesnt mean you should disregard his / her post. I can tell you that I LOVE BBQ. If I ever had a bumper sticker it would probably be something to that effect. It is for my love of the smoke and sauce and meat that I have visited the "Bulldog" 4 times. Let me share my experience.(pre-opening - greeting by a Napoleanic figure - We're not open yet, next week). 1st time I picked up 5 orders of wings for my warehouse guys that were working hard that day. comments were that it was tasty but not much substance. I had to get an order myself and I think they were right on - delicate and different; quality product, tasty blue cheese, the celery was julienned (sp?) cute idea, but not very easy to pick up and dip. visit 2, more wings, more of the same. trip three, I decide to eat in at the bar. Served by Jennifer, nice girl, Napolean was there, turns out he is the owner, with a creased forehead from the permanent frown - he is thee bulldog. who cares if the food is good, coleslaw was nice & really cold (well peppered, tart and sweet), Brisket slider was very tasty at first bite, but either my jaw is weakening or it was just too chewy - either way i was disappointed; the pulled chicken was good - not great. I was hoping for great, but so far just hype. BBQ sauce - katchup - the plain was plain, the "Red" hot was not spicy at all!Fries, not hot, so why did i go back again. I love BBQ and I want success, maybe just an off day? next and last time - took my buddies to lunch - food took inordinate amount of time to show up; I tried the Po Boy - there were two shrimp and two oysters - excellent quality - but sandwich was overwhelmingly bread; my buddy got sick off his burger - maybe not the bulldogs fault, but the cards are not stacked in his favor. i didnt try the $20 skirt, which would have been next on my list, but based on the aforementioned - i quit. better ribs at Miami Prime down the street; better burger down the street at Flanigans; better brisket at Beach BBQ (but they have their own problems, but their brisket is good);
so, it's chic, nice look, very kind manager - James, kitchy desserts - milk and cookies were nice; but for BBQ lovers - it's eh at best; if the bulldog was nice i'd give him my constructive criticism, but he was not, i saw him barking at the help. and when i asked for the chef i saw the waitress quiver in fear of Napolean. Survival of the fittest - we'll see how long they last. maybe they will find their crowd, but i wont be in it. My BBQ loving friends wont be there either. Try the Georgia Pig on 441 and Peters or Shorty's on Stirling and University.

Definately getting better & better! Food was excellent. The BBQ sauce is original and very tasty - makes your mouth water with the sweetness and a slight kick! A more upscale BBQ spot, offering the most delicious baked beans ladled with brisket chunks and fried onion straws, a meal unto itself! Brisket falls off the fork, and missing the overly smoking flavor thank goodness. Spot seems busy every night as everyone is checking out the new great restaurant North Miami Beach desparately needed. Prices reasonable.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Sagittarius

It's difficult to keep your mind on what you're doing today because it keeps wandering off in all directions. There won't be much you can do about this except to be aware of it, and preferably to postpone doing anything very complicated or important until you're less distracted and absent-minded. Unfortunately, you won't get very far with it at the moment.
