Good question, ranks right up there with "Who ran the bulldozer into the High School?"

We dont hear much of this anymore since the Grand Jury movement died out and those people went into hiding.
Well maybe that will change since David Starkey's criminal case has been dismissed.

oh contrare, they are not in hiding, they are in the sheriffs office, the state senate (burrage) and in private pracice (straton taylor). they will be up to something evil in the next election and every election untill they get indicted and sent to prison for all of their wrongdoing. who is to stop the corruption? who is going to speak for the people ? who is going to take a stand for justice and fight these crooks? the republicans better do the job that we sent them there to do or it is all over for our county, state and country!

As long as the sheriff's office is under the control of the political machine...there will be no truth and justice. This is why the machine worked so hard to keep Cole Butler out of the office, because he would have done the right thing and exposed the corruption that has been present for so very long. The current sheriff will keep the secret...as long as he is in office. Want a change? Look towards the next sheriff's election and find a candidate with integrity like Cole Butler had.

Our good buddy Sheriff Walton has made great friends with commissioner Mike Helm. Seems that they agree on most everything and Mike is his best friend. No new deputies or new programs, but Walton is doing a good job. No improved patrolling or crime solving methods but Walton is doing a good job. Same old stuff going on as we got used to with Jerry Prather.....Mike Helm has obviously forgot what he talked about during the last election cycle. Mr. Helm...you are either part of the solution or you are part of the problem.

Did you enjoy Stratton Taylor using your tax dollars to smear his name on RSU? How about putting his crony in charge up there? You do know Doctor Rice came to Cole's primary election win party and offered Cole a security job at Stratton Taylor University. How is that for a doctor in charge of an institution of higher learning, running Stratton Taylor's errands. Errand boy.

Yes Cole's primany landslide scared the pants off them and that is why they rigged the vote count in the runoff. The old fox in charge of the henhouse. I for one would really like to see an honest count of the ballots.

I heard that a certain county commissioner, at the recent Republican meeting, made the open statement that he was certain that Cole Butler won that last election. Hmmmmmm.....you might just be right about getting an honest ballot count! But again, the Republican party was going to ask for a recount and they did nothing. They also did absolutely nothing for any other Republican candidate! Cole would be better off running as Democrat in the next sheriff's race. At least the Democrats are vocal about who they support!! But for a commissioner to make the statement that the election was not a good vote count....that is coming out of the closet!

Everybody knows the election was a fraud. Those ballots are supposed to be kept for two years so you have one more year to count them.

Stratton Taylor's people run both political parties and his moles run the voting precincts. There are no impartial people involved. You know, pork projects and such. Follow the money.

Good luck getting anyone to start the ball rolling. Everyone wants to talk about it but nothing ever happens. Seems that the best bet is one of our commissioners, Kirk Thacker, who appears to want to uncover some terrible things that have occurred in this county. Good luck Kirk....I hope you are successful.

Several things resulted from the www.rogerscountygrandjury.com , It's interesting to wonder where it would have went, and where it will go now.

I wonder what made him think that. You know all Cole Butler signs from Foyil north and east were stolen within hours. Cole's man at Chelsea said he would put the signs out one day and they would all be gone the next morning. You also know that the Chelsea people took hours to get to the election board after everybody got tired of waiting and just took Chelsea's word that Walton won with no proof. How about that.

The people of Rogers Co. must stand up together and do something. I would suggest bypassing ALL state offices, and going to the feds. Federal Grand Jury investigations into possible election fraud, corruption in law enforcement, and the many deaths of children in state custody. And then to the Senate Judiciary Committee for investigations of kidnapping, illegal adoptions, and sham cases allowed by the courts/judges.

I don't follow what is meant by "the corrupt political machine." What do they do that is corrupt? Anybody who is elected to anything has allegiances that control them. But what does Rogers County's corrupt machine do and how do they benefit from it?

How can you rig an election in today's world? Am I just naive? That sounds like stuff from a bad movie. This is a sleepy little town, right? Please tell stories, these generalities don't make much sense.

I don't see it either. Washington has corruption for sure, but I'd say we have more incompetence than corruption in our county government.$12.5 million for a meeting notice? pretty steep price for 10 year old error.

Why do they screw over some people and let others get away with anything? This same old bunch has been in power for how many decades?

They have no problem retaining power. Every election is just another shoo-in. How do they do that?

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Virgo

Words are flying around in all directions today, and the conversations will be fast and furious. You might face a lot of distractions and interruptions, or you could get caught up in some rather irritable slanging matches with a certain person. The busier you are, the more fraught you'll become and the more likely to go off the deep end.
