I would recommend the Yards School of Higher Learning for your Youngster. God's light shines brighter on the Wolfman

I found Melanie to be a very wonderful person she is great with the kids and does her best. Miss Sheila is a great teacher good with the kids, a little flirty though, but none the less a great teacher. Miss Joann is an awesome person and has a geniune love for the kids. All in all a great school my son loved it.

Your reasons are yours and you are entitled to your opinion, as all of us are. I do believe Melanie to be a good person though. The school in general is a very great place. I do not regret my son atending there wished first grade was a s good as preschool though.

My sons have had most all the teachers at Bland Street, they are all awesome! If I had to give a recommendation it would be Miss Shelia my boys learned so much in her class and the love going, my youngest has her right now for class, he is 4

My son and nephew attended there for several years combined....miss Sheila is wonderful and miss Melanie is ok too but Joanne is not!!! She treated my son awful and was quite rude on several occasions!! If your child isn't one of the rich kids, he won't get the right treatment! Plus, for what you pay for 5 days...they should be better prepared when entering school.

If you got money your kid is treated like a king, My niece was there last year. i did like melanie though she seemed nice, dont like sheila, goody 2 shoes my stuff dont stink kinda person, joann was ok but centered around the rich and mighty. All in all not to bad but would not recomend it to anyone

Ran across this could not help but omment. As a mom of 5 kids one of them attended Bland Street I understand the point made about kids with no money being treated unfairly. I wish I had never sent my son there. His teacher was not bad just that the school in general is for money, but of course look where it is located in the rich section of town. As for the commens on Joann she seems nice but is money all the way. My child did not have Miss Sheila but I have seen her flirty ways with certain me, but maybe just her way. I am trying to place Melanie just dont remember her. All in all public schools are better at least they are not money hungry. This is my opinion.

Love BSPS! These ladies have a very hard job. If anyone got the wrong impression from them, generally, it may have been during a hard day in the classroom. There should be grace given for those types of days. We all have hard days as moms and dads and workers. BS is not a state-run school, meaning they don't have to run a strict curriculum, which lends more time for fun activities. They still have a curriculum, though. When you "shop around" for schools, you should keep that in mind. That would be like buying an orange, eating it, and then saying you thought it was an apple. You still got something out of the orange.
Both my children attend there. Could they learn more "school" information somewhere else? Possibly. But they will gain all of the social skills they need for school and still be allowed to PLAY (which is very important I feel). And as a bonus, they come home telling me things they learned about the ABCs, animals, shapes, colors, songs, etc. You never know what they'll pick up!
The most important thing, I feel, is if your child has a good time. I may notice things as an adult about other adults, and quickly form an opinion, but I should stop and ask if it has anything to do with my child in the classroom.
My two have a blast and have been waiting all summer to go back.

It is a great place, my sis put one of her kids there a while back. She loved it, I attended a couple of their functions with my sis, very nice Christian atmosphere. Cant believe any of the teachers would be flirts or biased because of money. If God is nice enough to allow me to have children I will send mine there
