This station is worthless. They don't report on things that happen. Sadly, like the young girl that got hit by a vehicle. It should've been a top story. I found out on topix! The reporters walk around with their noses in the air & thumbs in their azzes.

I agree and you are so right -not ONE word did they even mention and the utterly sad part it happened on 460 not far from their studios and the road runs right in front of WVVA.The station is TOTALLY worthless-they never report on anything that happens that would be of interest to people in the community.A Charleston paper reported it and it landed on TOPIX yet USELESS WVVA still has never said ONE WORD!
When I want to know something in the area I end up on WVNS 59.

They are a TOTAL WASTE of good electric energy to keep them on the air.

Want to conserve energy and eliminate waste of power----pull the plug on WVVA!

You better believe that if it happened in BECKLEY, then it would be news worthy to them. If a dog sh*t on the sidewalk in Beckley, they would report it. That`s the honest truth!!

They didn't even report the capture of the killer that killed the cashier in NC till the day after and it happened, less than 10 miles from the station.

All of the WVVA reporters are in Beckley. WVVA doesnt have time for a small market like Bluefield.

What kills me is these stupid promos they are running for HDTV. They act like they invented HDTV. The fact is they are years behind in getting it out to their viewers. Every other TV Station in the country did it many many years ago and did not even make a big deal out of it like these "stunning idiots" are doing.

Just like you stated they are YEARS&YEARS behind everyone else in having HD......all the other stations just switched it on and it was THERE they did not have the "stupid & moronic" promos they are running.

"" STUNNING IDIOTS""is a great and accurate description.

They would lead people to think no one had it but them when in fact they are way & far behind the times.

The only two bright ones up there are Brad and Jamie that do sports, very young and energetic about the kids in the area and their sports.
They had a new guy do weather that seemed good and now he is gone, so we have old faithful Corey that is afraid to speak to Mr Broyles when they do the gardening segment.

I agree that their all in Beckley which is why they need to get their station completly out of Bluefield!!Makes no since to have a station in a town they never report on.

I, for one, am a proud mercer county resident and I think these ladies and gentlemen do a great job for us here. I think they are good role models for our youth in the area. The drug problem is so severe in our town and I think its a blessing to have such a professional staff to really take action and be a good example.

Haven't you learned how they do the news? The read Topix and the bathroom wall at Hardee's before each newscast. Too bad both Topix and the bathroom wall have the same info.
