Should be smoking the real thing. Wasn't ganja recently shown to be easy (if not safe) on the lungs?

I doubt "it can kill", and I doubt you are supposed to be smoking potpourri to begin with.

In their defense, you probably shouldn't smoke the bag it comes in either. Probably how ganja got a bad reputation to begin with.

Potpourri is not for human consumption first of all. If it is being abused then that responsibility falls on the person abusing it. Second, everyone is so concerned over the sell and misuse of this product they seem blinded by the problems of alcohol and tobacco. These are legal consumable items which have caused more deaths and problems at home than any other product combined, whether legal or illegal. Since many out there are drinkers or smokers they don't want to address these issues. This is just an issue everyone has come accustomed too. For those that will admit the fact that being around someone smoke marijuana is much more pleasant than that of being around someone who is drinking and they don't have near the domestic issues associated with alcohol. So instead of worrying so much about marijuana or synthetics worry about the bigger issues that are causing more problems and death. More teens drink than those abusing the potpourri being sold at local stores. Then again, since most take a sip of alcohol they don't want these issues addressed.

I guess you always believe what is in paper. Wonder how many people have been accused of things in the paper then later to be found "not guilty". How many times do you see someone dies from cancer for smoking tobacco, domestic issues due to alcohol, or how many people have been to hospital for alcohol poisoning? There are a few in Blue Ridge who are bringing the potpourri and smoke shops into the spotlight because of personal issues they have with the owners whom have owned companies that sell tobacco products in the area. Certain of "Blue Ridge Finest" have stated they will mix legal product with illegal just to get a lab report to come back as a illegal substance. HMMMMM.... the very law enforcement agencies speaking against products are willing to break the law themselves? Interesting how it works. Whats good for one isn't good for the other it seems. Now the county wants to put a ordnance in to discriminate against certain businesses already established in the county. Maybe before they do this they should read into current law suites filed against other counties throughout the U.S. who have tried to enact ordinances against the sell of such products. "U.S. Constitution requires that laws be written with specific language to protect citizens from government harassment and the ordinance could encourage “arbitrary and discriminatory enforcement.” Might want to fix the alcohol and tobacco problems first. The mention of 9 deaths related to the misuse of a product is pale in comparison to the over 100,000 deaths related to alcohol per year, and about 443,000 deaths related to tobacco per year.

Quote Directly From CDC

"The cost of excessive alcohol consumption in the United States reached $223.5 billion in 2006 or about $1.90 per drink. Almost three-quarters of these costs were due to binge drinking. Binge drinking is defined as consuming four or more alcoholic beverages per occasion for women or five or more drinks per occasion for men, and is the most common form of excessive alcohol consumption in the United States."

WHERE's THE PARADE IN BLUE RIDGE OR FANNIN COUNTY FOR AN ORDNANCE AGAINST DRINKING ALCOHOL OR THE SALE OF ALCOHOL IN THE CITY OR COUNTY?

I'm not from your town. I just saw the thread. About 2 weeks ago the county I live in ~~ in kentucky ~~ passed a county law making things like that illegal. Now a store selling it can be charged with trafficking & somebody that possesses it with a possession charge. It happened because some people around here have ended up in the hospital because of over-doing the stuff.

Here's a new story about it ~~

I have tried this stuff and as a x-pot smoker some of it is way stronger than any herbs that i have ever smoked though the intence feeling/buzz didn't last as long as some of the medical grade herbs that are in Cali. the paranoia and withdrawels are worse never have i feinded for herbs after my bag ran dry, yet the legal pot-pourri has u left wanting more and more. something should be done about it in our county i'm 110% behind any legislation behind getting it out of our county, yea people that smoke it will just go to the next county how ever far away they need to get it. it's a black mark in our city and should be dealt with accordingly. yea it says "not for human consumption" but many things also say that take for instance paint/glue yet people abuse these daily and get people killed there is no difference here what's it gonna take some one killing another family cause they were high on pot-pourri to have something done about it. ban it in our county i say

Opinions are like assholes we all have one, and they all stink. so there's my opinion on the matter

Pot doesn't have additives, it's a natural plant. The fake stuff you get high from the chemicals in it. You're right about possibly dangerous side affects. Why else are people ending up in the hospital?

Paint & glue have a primary purpose. Sniffing is just something people have found out they can also do with it. But the synthetic weed is being sold using a ploy ~~ the "main" reason for sale of it is to get high on. They just use a loop-hole in the law to market it by saying on the package it's incense, potpourri, or something else.

Intereting no one in 8 days wants to repond about the alcohol or tobacco problems but want to speak out against another product not causing near as many problems.
Lots of talk about police corruption on another topix buy not on this one. People will continue to ignore issues that hit home I see.

I totally agree that this shit should be pulled off of the shelves. It is highly addictive and makes you sick. Don't smoke it. It isn't worth it. It wrecks relationships with family and makes you neglect your children. WARNING. DON'T DO THIS STUFF.

Daily Horoscope for May 18

Gemini

Try as you might, you won't be able to convince a certain person to see things from your point of view. This character is far too busy letting you know that they're an individual in their own right and they won't be tied down by you. The more you push, the more they'll rebel, so try not to incite further displays of outrageousness.
