There was a law recently passed banning certain types of potpourri. This does not include "third generation". One of my family members is currently sitting in the back of a Blue Ridge police car because he was carrying third generation potpourri on his person.

Can you saw "LAWSUIT"?????

I hope the city has a lot of money because, believe me, we will go for the maximum possible!

What ever happened to the ganja? Probation?

It sounds like some futuristic drug. An infinite demand.

Beware.

You really haven't a clue, do you? There is no law banning "potpourri" or synthetic marijuana. The law bans the substances and any variant thereof, that are used to make the "potpourri" as you call it. It bans cannabinoids in general. Without cannabinoids, you can't have synthetic marijuana. Here is the "law" for your edification. Though, it's not actually a law, merely an addition to an existing law.

"(12) Any material, compound, mixture, or preparation which contains any quantity of the following substances, their salts, isomers (whether optical, positional, or geometric), homologues, and salts of isomers and homologues, unless specifically excepted, whenever the existence of these salts, isomers, homologues, and salts of isomers and homologues is possible within the specific chemical designation:(A) 1-pentyl-3-(1-naphthoyl)indole (JWH-018);(B) 1,1-dimethylheptyl-11-hydroxy- delta-8-tetrahydrocannabinol (HU-210; (6a, 10a)-9-(hydroxymethyl)-6,6-dim ethyl-3-(2-methyloctan-2-yl)-6 a,7,10,10a-tetrahydrobenzo[c]c hromen-1-ol);(C) 2-(3-hydroxycyclohexyl)-5-(2-m ethyloctan-2-yl)phenol (CP 47,497)."

I dare say, if the police charge your relative, that person is screwed, with nothing more than a slight slap on the wrist. You maam are an idiot, if you think that you or anyone else, will see a dime of money.

Please, continue to spout off willy nilly and show how ignorant you are of real life, we are all listening intently and laughing our asses off.

Are you upset because he is in the police car? What was he going to do with it?? Sounds like you need to get him help not take up for him.

Be glad he's in the back of a police car and not an ambulance. You need to know more about this stuff than what you think you know based on what the air heads that use it tell you. It is killing a lot of kids.

We need a bigger body count before everyone realizes the moral to the story, if only those kids had access to ganja they would still be here.

More potpourri! More idiot kids dying! The ends could justify the means here with a little direction, people.

This synthetic pot is so much more dangerous than the real stuff. It can and does stop muscle movement. Which causes these kids to sufficate. These kids need to become aware of this if they dont already know not suing a police department for saving your life. WTH.

Pretty strong prediction for a grunt. I hear the soft sound of this issue fading into obscurity, maybe the police can get back to their regular napping schedule now.

I have always wondered about that. Way back in 1906, Roosevelt passed the food and drug act that said, in part, that drug companies could not patent an herb. Now if the big boys can't make money off it then they will fight tooth and nail to keep it illegal. The goberment could care less about us, it's the lobbyist that bribe them. Like I said, wonder if those two dots connect?

It's some false sense of integrity that keeps our precious ganja illegal. You don't see people growing their own tobacco, and even if though it's easy to grow garlic you still see a market for it.

There is something about hallucinogens that the major world powers want obscured. If you ever spend much time with them you would understand why.

Don't believe me? Just do some reading on the subject of DMT, it will blow you away without having to even try it.
sure thing

That's just what we need. A country filled with more airheads than we already have. But then again, easier access and not illegal may make it less appealing.

That's a good argument.....

In other news, if we legalized it on the national level tourism would shoot through the roof.
