My ex is over $102,365 in arrears in child support. His name is Edward Lee Spencer. His b-day is 01/19. He lives in Salina on 2ND St. I just can't understand why he hasn't been imprisoned for this offense.
He has also failed to register as a sex offender, a Class C Felony. |

I work long hours so I can make ends meet and feed them. I don't understand why the laws of the fathers- not paying child support hasn't been more enforced. It seems like he doesn't have to work- who is going to do anything about it. I can't I am too busy earning money just to feed the kids he helped me make. I am very frustrated. I have carried health insurance and paid all the co-pays and dental bills, bought their clothes(which isn't cheap) and a place over their head and....my ex hasn't paid anything.......This has got to change. He lives in phoenix, az and isn't working. Dead beat!

Sending dead broke non custodial parent's to debtors prison is not only unconstitutional it does not work. The imprisoned parent is unable to earn any money towards child support while imprisoned and will have a harder time doing so now that they have a criminal record. The cost to taxpayers to imprison a dead broke parent is from $30,000 to 45,000 a year which is akin to flushing money down the toilet and creating more problems for society.
The solution is to help low income non custodial parents financially through employment services including skill training. |

Possibly the reason there are so many non-custodial fathers who don't pay child support is because there are so many non-custodial fathers. The system is rigged, and it is designed to scr3w the male. the judges almost automatically give custody to the mother, even if she is a crack wh0re. I am a father with custody, and it cost me $18,000 and videotape/audiotape of her committing felony drug use, forgery, and all sorts of crazy sex acts to get custody. I also proved she committed perjury in court. Was she arrested? NO. Would I have been arrested if it had been me? You bet. Even then, I barely got custody and was forced to give her a tremendous amount of visitation. She pays child support (when she actually makes the payments) of $150 a month. I would have had to pay $580. The system is rigged. I wouldn't have paid it, either, because I know she would have spent the money on meth and tattoos and let the child suffer.

Not true at all! I know several people in the same situation and she is the women and the men ar eth eoffenders. The judges will not take away the fathers visitation and they: owe thousands in past due fees, have no utilities on in the house, use drugs, and are abusive. The courts suck to both sexes so don't try to say they favor women. They should favor the children but they don't!!!!Very sad!
