No more than 10 minutes later, we drive up on the scene with the two on the motorcycle covered on 321 deceased. Not sure if the cops were trying to persue the motorcycle b/c I saw cruiser lights well before we came up on the crash or they were rushing to the scene after the crash. A smaller SUV was involved possibly 1 or 2 others

I am sorry to hear this happened. I wish that the motorcycle riders that hotdog would understand that once a person is dead, there is no coming back. Not all motocyclists drive like that, but I see a lot out on the road who do. It is upsetting that the driver of this bike not only caused his own death, but the death of his passenger as well. =*(

They were running from the two police that followed them with lights and sirens. They were going to fast for this to not end trajically. We came upon the accident scene at least 30 minutes later in Granite Falls. Motorcycle in pieces and dead bodies covered with sheets in and on side of road.

When I saw them the two pursuing officers were pretty far behind them. We thought the motorcycle was just flying down the hill being careless. It was about 30/45 seconds later that we saw lights in the rear view mirror and the pursuing police cars. They may have eluded the police had it not been for the black sub that was involved in the accident. They were obviously trying to get away. It was sad to see the girl on the back. She was holding on so tight and I felt afraid for her when she sped past us. My heart sank upon seeing the bodies covered in the road.

She was thin. I saw two white sheets over bodies, one on grassy center divider, one on road. I also saw a green blanket/sheet covering something on the northbound lanes grassy embankment. We saw no ambulances leaving the scene. There was no driver in the black SUV when we passed the accident. The driver door was open. The SUV did not look terrible but the largest part of the motorcycle was only a fuel tank and a little of the handlebars when I saw it.

i have a little more graphic details from my neighbor.for some reason the motorcycle was being chased by police from blowing rock and a woman did a u-turn and they hit her and went under the car and the girl was thrown across 321 and the boy was cut in half and one part on one side of 321 and the other part on the other side of 321.

There wasnt much left of the motorcycle, but you could see from the damage on the suv where the suv had ran over it

The female passenger was a white female and wearing a white track/leisure suit- white pants, white jacket. Very, very tragic! I commented to my husband as they passed us that the driver had no regard for her life as he was driving very reckless. Any car could have ended their trip with a lane change or a drift toward to toward the lane markings. I didnt not see the police chase and we were traveling from Blowing Rock on 321. However, after they passed us we passed a cop sitting at a gas station watching traffic. The cyclist must have slowed down enough not to draw attention. We arrived on scene as they were covering the female up. One officer was visibly upset as was the woman of the SUV. This is something she will remember forever. Rest In Peace. Tomorrow is not promised to any of us.

Hence the reason for more than two sheets. My husband said he thought that would be the situation. My kids were freaked out by the whole situation. Me too. I hugged them so hard when we stopped a few minutes after we passed the accident.
