The County has been needing a new jail for years. They County Com. should have built a new jail instead of the offices
agree with that

I agree totally agree. The jail has to be old as the hills, and people living conditions are old and need to be updated.

What about overcrowding. The jail was built for like 35 people and there is between 60 and 75 on any given day.

I'm so glad this investigation is finally happening. It's been needed to be investigated for years. Back around March they had a bad case of black mold in the cells and in the showers. I don't care if they did something wrong or not. If they did, they need to be in there, but they still don't need to be put in horrible conditions as those. And what about the people who are actually innocent and wrongly accused, and do get out in the end. Why should they be forced into such a horrible situation? They shouldn't.

Usually the Dumbass citizens won't vote a tax increase or whatever for a jail. They want to feel safe from the violent criminals & etc but they don't want to pay for it.
Your right to a point but seems like when a tax is voted in The money seems to dissapear and not go for what it really inteeded for

STODDARD COUNTY HAS BEEN ONE OF THE MOST CROOKED JUDICIAL SYSTEMS I'VE SEEN IN MY LIFE. I REALIZE PEOPLE ARE IN THERE FOR CRIMINAL ACTS BUT WHAT HAPPEN TO "INNOCENT TIL PROVEN GUILTY"? THEY DONT CARE IF YOU'RE GUILTY OR NOT, AS LONG AS THEY MEET THEIR QUOTA. THE JAIL IS ALWAYS OVER CROWDED, SEVERAL PEOPLE HAVE BEEN SPIDER BITTEN AND HAVE BAD SCARS AND RECIEVED NO MEDICAL ATTENTION, THEY AREN'T FED PROPERLY, THERE'S ALOT OF ILLEGAL ACTIVITY WITHIN THE WALLS OF THAT JAIL BY STODDARD COUNTIES FINEST, NOT THE INMATES. I'VE HAD ATTORNIES TELL ME ABOUT SOME OF THE THINGS THEY GET AWAY WITH, IT'S UNREAL AND SCARY. IT WOULD TAKE ME A WEEK TO TELL YOU EVERYTHING THAT REALLY GOES ON IN THERE AND WE ALL NEED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT INSTEAD OF TALKING. HAYNES IS A DIRTY COP FROM THE WORD GO. I'LL POST MORE DETAILS LATER BUT YOU BETTER WAKE UP PEOPLE, IT COULD BE YOU OR YOUR CHILD THEY TRY TO SET UP NEXT TIME.

I can tell you for a fact this is so far from the truth its absolutely unreal!! I just got out of there after serving over 4 months and they never once aknowledged the mold or anything else that goes on in there! Not even a word said about it. I was shocked to see this post! I know its jail and we pay for our crimes but I can tell you, if you knew what really went on behind the scenes you would be apalled! And the people in orange are not the only guilty ones either and not by a long shot! Its rediculous and Ive never seen another jail like it!Or county for that matter.

I had a friend tell me he loaded the cop cars with fine foods that were taken home by the cops and the porr ole inmates gets another bologna sandwich and a cup of orange koolaid.
Then the cops set back and watch the ladies naked in the shower room.

Are you people serious?? Just what would you consider to be a resonable life expectancy for a building? Namely the jail? I am an experienced construction person. That jail is no more than 25 years old!! That structure should last 100 years of more!!! How long do you live in a house? The only people I know that tear a building down way before it's life is up are government people. After all, it's usually not their money and most of them could not manage the finances for a powerball winner.

The jail IS older than you 25 years. It does need to be remodeled.

If you don't want to reside in a mold infested $hit hole, then don't do things that might land you in there.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Aquarius

Keep calm and all will be well. You're feeling slightly fraught because there are so many demands on your time, and it won't help if you're trying to juggle some last-minute chores with some fun-filled social events. Get others to lend you a hand, or tell yourself that perfection is not an option right now and that you'll have to scale down your preparations accordingly.
