More than just a name

Of course it'll be a new mexican resturant, where else could the new owner hide all his meth, and supply Eureka and Fortuna's dealers. Just like they do at Roy's back door.

Since there is no comment section for the Humboldt Beacon Editorial, I will express my thoughts here. It was nice to see the Editor apologize to the Parlato family for not obtaining both sides of the ongoing story of Parlatos/Roys. The Parlato family is a class act as reflected in their comments, i.e. only wishing the Fanucchi family the best despite Roy's trying to blame them for all their problems.Parlatos will never be forgotten by anyone that ate there. Your restaurant will live on forever in our memories.

If the new owners are going to bring in another mexican restaurant, maybe that owner should look in to the empty "Border Tacos" building. It comes with a driveup that makes "all orders faster to receive".

OMG tell me not another Mexican restaurant. My gut will never be the same!!!!!I can still smell those fantastic raviolis, herb chicken and prime rib dinners. It's a real shame the owners chose not to lease the restaurant to someone who would have made it a dinnerhouse and not another take-out joint!!!!

I heard that Parlatos is opening again, with the same nasty food and the same druggie bartender. Same owners, same management, same bad food..thank goodness it will be open in time for fair week!!! LOL..at this point I would rather have a drunken Irv and his dysfunctional family buy it back. Atleast the food was edible back then.

Original Parlato's food was ok;
but NO Italian restaurant, not Big 4, not Parlato's, not Roy's, could ever cook Italian food as well as an Italian mother or grandmother in the kitchen of their own home.
I feel a little guilty for being so blessed to have grown up with an Italian mother's cooking.

How dare you even use the name "Parlatos" it is ruined due to the new chef and owner. You should be ashamed!

Exactly my thoughts. Who painted the sign and is it still Roy's? Has anyone been into the restaurant to "eat" since the dining room reopened?

I've recently been to Roy's and got food poisoning! I'm never going to eat there again!

Roy's food is gross. They re-use 3 day leftover sauce and have poisoned at least fifteen people. The place needs to be shut down.
