We will miss you two so much even though we live on opposite coasts! Your love of life, laughter, and people,to reach out to others and make a happy moment!! The joy and laughter you both brought us. You always called me Mom #2 because how close our families became serving time together in Haiti. How our hearts are burdened for your mother and sister now again after looseing your daddy to cancer just 6 years ago..WE love you all, praying for you.

Wow, I was just looking for an article about this accident and found this one. I can't believe that harsh, judgemental comments have been left. I hope to god his mother and sister don't find this post and also that none of you rude posters go through this same thing to find out how heartless people can be.

Thank you for you concern. Many locals have been through the same thing already though because of thoughtless people who risk our lives for absolutely no reason. I've been hit head on by a speeder then had the misfortune to have to look at the driver dead and passengers maimed. We will discuss it. That does not mean that we do not feel sorry for your loss, it means that we are frustrated that it happens frequently, scared to drive our own roads, and we will discuss it until it stops happening. We have the right to be disgusted by thoughtless, irresponsible, actions that risk our lives. The action brought about the discussion.

Everyone has a right to their own opinion, but please be considerate of those that are left behind this tragedy. You do not know the entire circumstances behind tha accident. Don't preach about road rules when you don't even know what might or might now have cause this accident. Accidents happen. Those that are hurting right now would truelly appricate it if thoughtless and rude comments were not written in this particluar blog, talk to you friends or family about them in your email or on the phone or what ever but not here where the family and other friends might read your hurtful words.

Okay the gas pedal stuck and driver was forced to pass on double yellow line? When in country in the service the top Sgt took us to help unload body bags of our guys and was very blunt and insensitive about how the persons got in the body bags and went on to say we could and would end up the bodybags. How insensitive is that?

What I am getting at is people need to think of other people when they are driving. If you have the need for speed think of the consequences of your actions or you may pay the ultimate price.

I know people are going to have many opinions about this, and how people need to be responsible for their actions. I have had the pleasure of knowing these two wonderful people and am deeply sad for their loss. I understand that people feel the need to express their frustrations about driving safe, and I agree that people need to be responsible for their actions, but what people really don't know or seem to care about is the people that they left behind, the family who loves them, the wife and his unborn child, the sister who was just about the sweetest girl ever. Its a loss that I know has hit me very hard because I know how great these people really were. People make mistakes all the time, we all have done something stupid I am sure when it comes to being on the road, whether it be we are tired, angry, had a few drinks to many, on drugs, these are things that everyone has done at least once. Just be respectful to the family for their loss, this is hard enough and has truly hit a small town community very hard. They will be greatly missed by many.

Please note this accident did NOT occur in Richardson Grove. All the talk of the dangers of Richardson Grove are meaningless when accidents like this happen all along Highway 101. Save the redwoods. Don't be cutting redwoods in the State Park in the name of safety.

Way to use this tragedy to push your own, unrelated agenda. Self-centered Jerk.

Reality Check - Get in touch with reality. Highway 101 can be a dangerous place to drive - due to other drivers, road conditions, etc. It is time to think 'safety' when you hit the road. Perhaps this tragic loss of life can be a reminder that 'fixing the road' is not how you make it safer. It is time for local drivers to take responsibility for what happens. Cutting redwood trees is not the answer. Be a global thinker!!!!

Boy you sure told him, Oh thats right you can't because he died you idiot. How nice it is that technology has made it possible for us to write our comments. So now the family can can read the heart felt message And they can read how stupid and insensitive and cruel people are. Hope you it made you feel better.

Susan you have and are an amazing christian woman. Don't let this world and its pain destroy you. God gave you wonderful children that were blessings they are at rest with him and you will one day be with them all together with no more pain. (Matthew 24:44) {love} bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things (1 Corinthians 13:7) Let Gods love wash over you and his spirt lead you. Rember the flesh must hurt in order for the spirt to have is time to heal. Susan and laura your in our prayers, and to everone who had the privilege to know both of them

The insensitive and cruel people are the ones who risk other peoples lives then expect everyone to just be quiet and deal with it.

Nice try. Bottom line, you were an ass for trying to use this tragedy and have now tried to shift your tone. Shame on you.
