i have been to Ohio and Florida and there are private stores selling these purses etc. i think showing her house and address is terrible and uncaring of the news stations. you can't tell me that the district justice wife didn't know about the purses. We the public are not dumb but maybe we are if you believe they didn't know. Everyone has something in their closet so lets NOT point a finger. Read the newspaper article and then wrap your garbage in it tomorrow.

Are you kidding me that this is news? any woman with half a brian knows a knock off and would question it immediately. If they got taken they deserved it! Find something newsworthy. This is junk!

I have been to these parties and have never heard of anyone getting busted.I have been told that if the party does get busted they can get the person having the party plus all the guests.I am not sure how true this is.Someone must have tipped off the police. How else would they have known.

These things are sold at every flea market and at parties all over the country. I don't think Gucci and Chanel are hurting in their profits due to a few knock-offs being sold. Come on - these ladies know they aren't the real thing. No one was hurt during this party!! Go after the real criminals!!!!! Not people who are just trying to accessorize their wardrobe!!!!

Women need to STOP perpetrating!!!

WHY MUST YOU DEFINE WHO YOU ARE BY WHAT YOU'RE WEARING OR WHAT YOU'RE CARRYING?

If you carry a knock off, does that then mean you are a knock off? as suppose to carrying a true Chanel or Coach bag & paying that astronomical price to have their name?

The person who dies with the MOST designer bags, the MOST designer clothes, the MOST toys(cars, boats, homes),etc.. doesn't win.... HE'S DEAD & HE CAN'T TAKE THEM WITH HIM...

Who cares about these purses?
Is this something that makes the Judge look bad?
The Chinese make fakes of everything and anything.
What's it matter?
What's the point of this "news"?
Not everyone can afford or cares to pay for a real McCoy???????

We live in a materialistic society & yes it tends to make people beg, borrow, steal to get the things that make them feel good about themselves.
If everyone would stop worrying about what "the jones" had and worry about taking care of their families, the moral, values, ethics that really matter this wouldnt be happening! But we are stuck in the "keep up with the jones" attitudes so this wont ever change, spoiled rotten rich kids, steal for the thrill, poor kids steal to have things, its everyday society at its best, you can raise your kids with ethics, values & morals and the wholesome attitude, but they will be corrupt by 5th grade with the pressures of "having what everyone else has" attitude that goes on in schools these days..
GOOD LUCK

After reading the story and reading everyone's responses, I am not quite sure any of you have any idea what is going on at these shows. I have been to a few and have had consultants tell guests that the COACH is the "real thing" and "not fake". I own knock off Coaches and I own authentic coaches and I know the difference. However, it isn't fair and it is against the law to tell sell a product as "authentic" when indeed it is not. That is what the problem is. It has nothing to do with someone knowing what is authentic or what it isn't, it has nothing to do with the fact that the person was a judge and it certainly has nothing to do with the color of the persons skin. It has everything to do with someone selling merchandise that is not real and stating that it is..you wouldn't want to be misled if you purchased something right? SAME THING.
