College campuses are quite tricky, and I havent really given it an in depth thought, but off the top of my head, I would say that , yes, I include college campuses as well. I just dont feel that a learning environment is an appropriate place for a concealed weapon. I would have to think more about it. thank you for respectfully asking my opinion too, instead of "assuming" I mean certain things. I appreciate it :)
"...thank you for respectfully asking my opinion too, instead of "assuming" I mean certain things."

You're accountable for your words. That's what can happen in a court of law where you can deny a fact or conclusion all you want but you will still be held accountable.

Not only did you associate guns with drugs and alcohol, but you did it with gangs too. As if ONLY gangs, drug or alcohol addicts possess guns. Another of your bogus assumptions are that only police are entitled to possess guns.

Millions of Americans own guns; gangs are a small group of Americans who own guns, and then police.

"...the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

Try and divide the 2nd amendment up for me: explain how guns should be excluded from a college campus (where some people enroll in ROTC classes). Explain why, because gangs, drug and alcohol addicts use guns to commit crime, all the law-abiding students should not be allowed to possess guns on a campus while gangs, drug and alcohol addicts and maniacs are able to enter college campuses and prey on unarmed students and teachers.

The t-shirt symbolized using guns to combat terrorism. Thousands of young college aged Americans are using guns to protect themselves in Iraq.

People against guns have only lies and hype to defend their beliefs, while the proponents of gun possession use the wording of the 2nd amendment, facts, statistics and real events to prove, not only the legality of gun possession, but the benefits versus the costs of gun possession.

America's freedom was won with guns. Our freedom and our safety will be maintained with guns too.

Gun bashers don't care how many are bullied, beaten, robbed, raped or murdered, they just want weapons and the right of self defense banned. Their agenda is not about other peoples safety, freedom or reducing crime, it's about achieving utopia or promoting pacifism. A pacifist and a sociopath have little respect for life.

Please, oh PLEASE tell me where I associated those things....you cant! Because I didnt and DONT! I have guns, even alcohol in my house....does that mean I am in a gang--NO, did I say they go hand in hand? NO! Did I say anything about them together NO....you did...you assumed I did...that is your idea...not mine, as I am sure you know what they say about assumptions and the people that make them...

While I agree with you, there is a time and place for certain attire....school is not the appropriate place for clothing with drugs, guns, nor alcohol. That is not PC, that is common sense.
Here's the "drugs, guns nor alcohol" association.

ah ha! And that is where you are wrong! I never said ONCE that any of those things had a negative association, were associated with one another, OR was connected to gangs.... I said there was a proper time and place for those items....I do not feel that the proper place is in a learning environment. You must feel that they have a "negative association" with one another. To further explain myself, I also believe that clothing should be free of advertisements, logos, displays of brand names, etc... you go to school to learn!!!

So now you say wearing a t-shirt (by school age children) that promotes alcohol or other drugs is acceptable in the proper setting, time and place ?

"I also believe that clothing should be free of advertisements, logos, displays of brand names, etc... you go to school to learn!!!"

With all those rules YOU would teach other peoples children to become good communists. That is how it's done in North Korea and Cuba. You advocate/promote uniformity and conformity to the detriment of personal expression (free speech). Why ? Because you believe we should surrender our individual rights (and our individuality) for the benefit of the common good (fascism).

Requiring students to obssessively/compulsively recite the Pledge of Allegiance EVERYDAY is a form of brainwashing (it promotes excessive nationalism, aka fascism). Our schools, because of socialists like you are breeding socialists rather than Constitutionalists.

If North Korean students wear the same clothing then American students should wear different clothing. If Cubans (who love their govt) are polite and civil then Americans should be rude and barbaric.

You imply we should listen to you (school teacher and female) because you know what is best for students; I demand we ignore you because you know nothing about people, young and old, and because you know nothing about freedom except how to hustle others out of it.

You claim to own guns but you demonize them - Hitler did the same. He did the same with guns and with Germany's children - just like you.

I'm telling you: if students (college or elementary school) wear t-shirts that promote anything (religion, Smith & Wesson handguns or Seagrams whisky) it has little affect on learning or their proper conduct, but has a significant affect on their future lack-of-freedom. Your ideas will enslave the present generation of children in the future. That would not be a proper learning environment - my kid will learn to be a good citizen and learn to respect the Constitution; yours will learn to be a good socialist or nazi. Who would then care if your children know math or how to read.

oh, look, it looks that you are getting all personal now. Because a child wears a uniform to school does not mean they are uniformed at home or in their community. They can run around naked with for all I care. What they wear and DONT wear DOES have an impact on how they learn, act, etc. Take a low income, rural county.... Some kids sport the latest, high dollar labels, some sport the Dollar General label....do you not think BOTH groups are teased, bullied for what they DO and DO NOT have? Yes, can YOU learn when someone is breathing down your back for what mama and daddy cant afford? How you look? I dont think that I can. Not everyone is like you and can let the water roll of their back and become a model citizen that can "express" themselves and be respectful of everyone around them. I am tired of doing my job AND others jobs (ie PARENTS). You sound, by your comments, that you are well informed and would be a very engaged parent, well, that is very rare--I promise. Until all parents are involved and explain to there students the appropriate place and ways to express oneself, I will continue with my beliefs. I thank you for your challenging and thought provoking posts.

You are not the silver surfer. Your avatar is that of a Cyberdyne Systems Model 101, Terminator. I am offended by your lack of credibility.
