i grew up in Blanchard, and this is the norm. #1 go carts are not for streets. #2 it probabley had a stroked out chevy 350 in it. #3 it goes 120mph #4 it was made from old crap sitting behind the barn.#5 no self protection, maybe steel toe boots. thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends, but just a heads up on the ways of the woods.

What type of go cart was it?How many kids have to die or be injured on foreign junk they sell everywhere and get away with it?

Thoughts and prayers to the family...How many of us did things when we were young that weren't very smart? We were just fortunated we did not pay the ultimate price like this poor soul.

Dang, go-karts sure are fun, though. If the kid was riding in the road, it was probably because it was in the boondocks. It said a wheel fell off, not that it was hit by a car. Accidents happen. Don't let that stop you from having fun.

According to Mlive it was a boy.

That road is not busy at all. It's not surprising to me that anyone would ride their toys through there. Like the story said, the wheel fell off -- something that was totally unexpected. Who would ever think something so horrible would come of it. I can't even begin to imagine what it's like for the family. My thoughts and prayers go out to them.

It doesn't sound like it had anything to do with being on a road at all. The wheel fell off, It could have just as easily did that in a two track or out back in a field.

I was thinking the very same thought this morning when I read this article. We survived because we were lucky! That's all. I have three very active boys and SO can relate to this story!

Such a sad story. a child out playing having fun and this has to happen. Prayers to the family.

Very unfortunate accident and my deepest sympathy to the family.

Accidents like this are rare but its nice to hear that there are still 16 year olds having fun without doing drugs, toting around guns, or getting drunk. Kids will be kids and this just sounds like a horrible accident in which a young life was taken.

There was a crash.
Fatal internal injuries.
How fast was this go-cart going!? Unless the internal infuries were because the driver was run over by another vehicle, they must have been going quite fast. Maybe going fast enough to be thrown into a tree or something.

Wouldn't you think if TV-8 is going to report on a story so far from GR, they could provide a little more substance to the story?

Pretty fun, getting in a crash and getting dead. I vote for a cat in a bong for more fun, and I could do it again if I didn't get caught cause I'm still alive.
