I would love to hear their stories...

Girls should know better than this but if their parents don't teach them self respect they are likely to do stuff like this. The line of what is ok and what is not gets blurred. So probably for a while they thought it was fun to flash and get booze and smokes and ATTENTION and then he probably "went too far". For girls with self esteem/respect being approached with the offer from the man would have crossed the line immediately.

Girls 14 and 16 have a difficult time deciding what they are going to wear to school the next day. This was a 62 year old man capable of making decisons and he preyed on these two girls. This is the oldest trick in the book for the predator to offer minors cigarettes, etc. So he can have his way with them. If he got away with this for years,more than likely he had the mind control over minors. And probably told them they would get into as much trouble as him if they told anyone. I hate predators. But this is very typical. Did he buy them candy also?

Not that I am a prude. But I think the age of consent should be 18 years old. The age a teenager can vote and/or join the military. Teenagers face enough difficult decision making on a daily basis with peer pressure, the discision to join the military, drinking, drugging. Why complicate things with making the age of consent 16? I know it would not put an end to teenage pregnancy but maybe it help would curtail it.

God/Nature intended women and men to have sex after puberty anything before that is wrong anything after that is natural and fine by me as long as both parties are consenting and mental able to offer their consent. Large age differences are a problem (example 36 yr old & 16 yr old), but this is mostly the effect of social problems that come about as a result of how a large western civilization functions. I'll leave this one up to nature and God, if modern chemicals don't fuck up natural puberty first.
