A teenage Boy Scout on a weekend camping trip in Monroe County fell off a ledge Saturday in a remote area of a camp and plunged about 25 feet.

That is one thing I would never let my children do is join scouts.
Some people do it only to get rid of their kids for a few days.

Nope, sorry ma'am don't agree with you at all. As long as the Troop leaders are good people the Scouts are a great way for kids to get away from the video games and TV and learn some self reliance and outdoor skills.

This is the most dangerous time of year to be walking on rock ledges. Winter ice expands and loosens the rocks, and every spring the loose rock is a hazard.

Good thing they weren't from Nazareth because they'd all be on heroin and probably jumping from the ledges.
