Audrey kept my dog for 6 hours. After the 5th hour I waited in my car. Customers complained of gas fumes, so I waited in the lobby. When they saw me wait, I heard my dog yipping in the back -- presumably they were working on her too fast and pulling her hair. After a half hour, my dog was ready -- complete with a bleeding stab wound on the pad of her front foot. Later I found out that the shop had to be evacuated due to gas fumes, so the dogs were sitting in kennels in the parking lot. PetSmart, here I come!!

I am the owner of Pet Grooming by Audrey and I would like to know who wrote this comment. This incident happened over a year ago and that is not what happened. We had a scare of gas fumes in the shop and evacuted the dogs into the parking lot in cars and kennels for their safety. No dogs were left in the shop and there were no dogs being worked on during this incident. No one was allowed to sit in my lobby. If your dog was injured you should have let me know immediately.
I don't appreciate someone spreading rumors if you would like to speak with me about this incident I would appreciate it. I have several employees that can verify what happened and also several other clients that were here that day who
can verify that your comment is completely false.

Honestly I find way too many over excited fast to blame quick to judge yuppies out there in Omaha for me to deal with. Personally I have heard this place is reputable, fair priced and decent hours, alias distance from my home is not shorter to cart my Shadow in for a primping. Long drive from this neck of the woods.

I have known and used Audrey for several years and she has always been professioanl and taken great care of my Sheltie's grooming needs. I have great trust in Audrey and have recommended her to friends and family. She is A-1! and I am very discearning of the goods and services I use and employ. She does a great job grooming and takes good care in what she does!

I just wanted to say you can count on at most grooming shops your dogs are being abused. To many groomers and to many dogs at once.Your furry friend can misbehave. So I think your grommers that work out of there homes are the best not so many dogs coming in at the same time.I fell thats the save way to go.

You are VERY WRONG in your comment "I just wanted to say you can count on at most grooming shops your dogs are being abused." Most expierenced groomers are in it for the LOVE of dogs! Someone does NOT spend their entire life grooming your dog because they are abusive. But because they love dogs!@ You best do MUCH better research before EVER making such a false statement!

Audrey and her staff are the BEST! They do a great job on my two dogs, and they are very friendly, professional, and accommodating to my schedule. Audrey even alerted me to a medical issue one of my dogs was having - the vet confirmed, I got medicine for him, and he was good-as-new in no time. My dogs love going there! I will keep coming back.

I'm fairly new to the clientelle list but have been very pleased with my experiences thus far and think Audrey has a great grooming shop! She does a wonderful job on my Riley who is absolutely a "Momma's Boy"! Her shop is clean and tidy and her prices are wonderfully affordable! Riley has always been taken care of in a timely manner. People who have issues with services rendered should ALWAYS first and foremost confront the owner. Rumors are unnecessary and hurtful. Thank you Audrey for taking care of my Riley, I'll be returning soon!

First of all I would like to comment to "just a dog Lover" I believe that before you comment you should check your grammar and punctuation! And then you should have your facts straight! NOT ALL GROOMERS ARE ABUSIVE, you should not catagorize everyone in one VERY SMALL group. As in any industry there are bad eggs, and I believe that most of the groomers in this town are pretty decent. Those groomers that are not, dog owners can get a pretty good vibe from just the dog alone. And the location of the groomer DOES NOT make them a good or bad groomer! At Audrey's I believe that the groomers have a great deal of patience and I have never seen them overwhelmed with dogs. The care that they give the customers and the dogs are very respectful and the dogs are treated as one of their own! I am sorry that this forum has become such a battle between good and the not so good people that are/were affiliated with Audrey's.

maybe we should get lie detectors for all the employees that now work at Audrey's and for all her past employees....then we will find out if dogs are abused there or not.

I was over at Bonafide Dog Academy a few months ago. I could'nt belive my ears,I heard some dogs barking and then I heard someone screaming at the dog. (SHUT THE BLANK UP) Not cursing over the internet, but I am sure you know what the blank word is. I thought to myself poor scared babies. I would not take my barking BABY there.REMEMBER EMPLOYEE'S AT PET GROOMING BY AUDREY THE VENTS HAVE EARS. Screaming and cursing at dogs is abusing them to in my book.

OMG!!!!! You heard someone tell a dog to shut up? Get a grip!! First of all if you are gonna sit there and say you have never told your dog to shut up,to be quiet, to shhhhh, or any other variation, you my dear are a big 'ol fibber. There is absolutely nothing wrong with telling your dog to stop barking. In case you didn't know dogs don't know the difference between an english swear word or a french swear word or no swear word at all. I think you need to find something better to do with your time instead of eves dropping on people. If you had such a big issue with it why didn't you go into the shop and confront them instead of hidding behind some name on the internet? Second of all, why did you wait a few months to post a comment? I think everyone will agree with me when I say...You have got to be kidding me!?!?!

I am sorry you have the opinion that you do about groomers. You must have had one heck of a bad experience to group us all together as abusive. I have been a groomer in Omaha for almost 8 years, and have never abused, or been around other groomers that abuse animals. It is totally insulting that you would say something like that. We do what we do because we LOVE dogs! Because if we didnt, why would we put up with being bitten, scratched, kicked, piddled or pooped on. Not to mention working countless back-breaking hours to make our city's dogs look gorgeous. Thanks to all of you salon supporters, youre keeping food on our tables, and a roof over our heads!!

OK this is getting ridiculous and out of hand!!! I am glad that there are LOTS of dog lovers both groomers and owners..and there are bad ones in both lots! But to keep posting things just to get to someone or a nasty comment on this site is getting out of hand.....if it does not pertain to this shop please don't post it. If you don't have anything good to say then don't say anything at all. If you look on the BBB accreditation I don't see any complaints about Audrey's and from what I have seen and heard all is well there.

I can't believe the back and forth on this website, I just have to say that we have been taking our two dogs to Audrey for 3 years now to get groomed and they love going to get groomed. This alone must show how well of a job Audrey and her team does. I have recommended all of my family and friends to her as she does a professional and outstanding job every time. If you are looking for a well respected place to take your dog to get groomed, go to Audrey -- you won't be disappointed and your dog(s) will love the experience! I am outraged at a couple comments in this thread, knowing Audrey she cares immensely for all of her puppy clientele.

Are you serious people who groom out of their house have no idea what they are doing and the reason they work out of their home is because is because nobody will hire them
