Bank of America Flag Controversy Begins to Cost It Accounts

Full story: snafu-ed.blogspot.com

Last week, a Bank of America branch in Gaffney, SC removed American flags from an adjacent sidewalk, concerned, Branch Manager Brandy Tate said, that some might be offended by the flags. The flags were placed there as part of a funeral procession for Marine Lance Cpl. Chris Fowlkes. Fowlkes died Sept. 10th in a German hospital of injuries suffered in Afghanistan the previous week from an IED.

How about if we "flag" Bank of America as the target of a nationwide boycott?

Sounds similiar to Dubya not wanting us to see flag drapped coffins because it would remind us that people were and are dying because of the rights decision to liberate Muslims using American lives and money.

He thought we'd be offended by seeing our troops return home after the ultimate sacrifice for his cause.

Just the opposite Dubya.

This is it my fellow Americans! The banks have received are money! They are no longer a part of the American dream! The governments plan to bankrupt are country and send trillions to foreign banks to buy the bankrupt America. I never believed in conspiracy till now. Too many things are taking place that don't add up! We need to demand are government account for these trillions. We are headed for a great depression no matter what they are reporting. Printing money was the final nail in the coffin.

There are "groups" that are targeting Bank of America for discrimination. BOA wouldn't lend them money.

Guess what group?!?!?!

It was an appropriate use of the American flag. The B of A guy's decision was wrong and stupid.

Bank of America should be ashamed to have a manager like that woman working for them. She should be fired for removing the American Flag and insulting our young veteran on his way to his final resting place.
Mr. Giannini would turn over in his grave if he could hear what is going on with the wonderful bank he started in a country that allowed him to
do this.

As much as I detest BoA this was the actions of one person. In addition I was taught to lower the flag at dusk, the flag becomes meaningless if just hung up and forgotten. The flag is a symbol of our country, it has no magical power.

But what I find most disturbing is how many of these people so upset over square pieces of plastic will spend the rest of the night slandering our president?

the First Amendment gives people the right to complain about the president (slander is a legal term not applicable to the POTUS, as he is a public figure). Just as the BoA manager had the right to deny flags on thier property.

However, as BoA is finding out, there are consequences to keeping that right. People don't have to bank at BoA, as the bank is finding out. The President has no recourse against the complainers and we are unfortunately, stuck with him.
