First thing is the parents need to get active in the childrens school work. I lived their for quite some time against my own will of course. What I have noticed now that I am older is that parents in that town blame everyone except the person that is responsible, themselves.

Can any one in robstown tell me about Mauro Garza, the trauncy officer, Leobardo Cano, and I think his name is Joe Chapa a Principle. We are at the moment stuck with these characters here in Premont. Did read a agenda dated Mar 08 on grievance, Mauro Garza whats all that about.

I know for a fact there is an ex-con working for school, background should be done on all teachers that I know, dont know about Administrators, but in pass when there has been scandels they allow people to resign instead of calling in the law, no arrest, no record.

Care to tell who this presumed employee is? And do you have the proof to back it up? |

He's a good guy...made a mistake early in life and paid the price. Now leave him alone, a$$hat. |

I agree with you on this one "invader". People make mistakes somewhere in life but there are those that don't ever let it drop. It's like they have never ever done anything wrong in their life. "Judge not lest ye be judge" Good words to live by... |

It's against the law to have an ex-con working for a school district, no matter what.

Yes it is. But where is the reprot of statement, facts, that say he is an ex-con? Can you show us to prove to us what he did? I for one would like to know. |

I don't know if there is such a person. I'm not the one that said that. I was just explaining policy.

Thank you for explaining the policy to me. But I wonder who it is that these people are talking about. Where is the arrest report, the trial transcribes of the trial and things of that nature that prove that we have a criminal or ex-con among us. |

The only one I can think of is a maintance employee, went to prison on a drug trafficing charge, many years ago, and yes he is a very nice guy, he paid his dues.

Okay so where is the report or prison record on this person? Did he hurt any children in the process? That to me would be a very big red flag... If he has paid his price for what he has done then why is he still being crucified???? |

Latina, when you push drugs on streets, you push on kids/adults/professions/ the end result is the same, you fk'ed up someone's life. I am not and have not critiz. person. I am not crucifing anyone you asked ? my answer was a maintence guy. Sorry f offended u

I am so sad about everything I have been reading about Premont. The schools, the leaders, the citizens. When I grew up there, our parents kept us so busy we didn't have time to worry about the other people in town, we didn't have free time to keep up with their lives, we took care of our own. We didn't throw stones because none of us lived in a glass house. The schools in Premont at one time were great. We had great teachers (some not so great) but they had morals and integrity. They didn't have time to do all this "other" stuff and if they did, it wasn't what everyone spent time talking about (except over a cup of coffee at Oasis). We had fun but it was respectful fun. Our parents were involved in everything we did. Premont was a good town because we had good people from the top on down. These are elected people that I am reading about and that is scary. The saddest part is that it is the children suffering. It doesn't seem like anyone is concerned about helping the children but spending a lot of time spitting back and forth at each other. These kids deserve the best learning you could give them. It all comes down to respect, for yourselves and for each other but mostly for God that protects us all.

I wasn't offended. I was just asking a question. And you are right. Drugs affect our kids when they hear about the drugs being used and when our kids are seeing them being dealt or when our kids are using them. We as parents should always do the best parenting we are capable of. My kids are small but I ahve made them very aware of the dangers of drugs and of the people who deal them and use them. God willing I have done my best to make sure they never fall into the wrong crowd or the wrong hands. |
