How can salespeople live with themselves?

The lady on TV is trying to sell Nationwide Insurance. She says: "We want to save you money; we really do." How can these people live with themselves?

Im truth, what they really want to do is separate you from you money.
I just can't imagine how they can live with themselves!

Tyrone, I usually don't respond to rude or disrespectful posts. I looked back thru a few of your posts on the BCVoice thread, and all of them fall under the category of disrespectful. What's the matter with you man? Do you hate all people? If you've been terribly mistreated in your life, I'm sorry about that, Tyrone! I'm serious! I hope things improve for you!!!

Alan what you have to understand is that almost all the people that post in the BCVoice section here are from BCVoice. Those people are rude and crude because they do not have a life and have to much time on their hands. They use that time to create more drama, because that is all they live for. please forgive the ignorant.

To you post here, I have been wondering the same, how can any sales person live with themselves. A couple months ago we went to OLUM's and was approached by 3 salespeople as soon as we hit the inside of the store. We went looking for another 50" or larger LCD for our rec room. We knew what we wanted (research on the web) and we knew which brand we wanted, just comparing prices. We found one that we were interested in and the sales guy started a pitch about what it could do. Claimed there were 5 HDMI inputs on the back. Asked him to show us, he said he could not move the unit. Then asked to see the manual, could not produce it. Pulled out all the info about different makes and models we printed off the web, had one that was exactly the same, make/model/size. Handed it to him and asked to show us where it states 5 HDMI inputs. Now all of a sudden he said he was talking about the other unit. WHAT A BUNCH OF CRAP. How can these people sleep at night(?) little alone live with themselves with all the lies they tell.

I'm not saying I dislike salespeople, but I don't think they care as much about people they don't know as they do about money. It doesn't make them feel guilty that they lied to you to sell you something because they figure that you have money you're looking to blow if you're buying a nice t.v. or whatever you're in there for. And why not throw a little of that money thier way? They can also smell a sucker from a mile away so it's best to do your research yourself and ask around unless you don't mind getting sold more than you even wanted.
