We were back for the 125 celabration for Sheyenne, New Rockford & Maddock area and found there wasn't accomodations enough for the people that came back for it. Etc.restaurants, motels,& rest rooms. The events were wonderful,& the weather was "GREAT". Like every other town or city they took the tourist. Motel when found available was double in price, with haphazard air conditioners, smoking rooms that reeked with smoke. So, "Thanks to the Great state of North Dakota.
I am glad I went back, but never another event back there.

I'm sorry you didn't find enough accommacations for the 125th of Sheyenne, although just so people know - Sheyenne and Churchs Ferry are not the same town and are actually about 35 miles apart. The closest town to Churchs Ferry with plenty of accommadations is Devils Lake. With at least 5 hotels and one more soon to open, I'm sure those coming to visit Churchs Ferry would find plenty of rooms starting at around $30 per night. Other accommadations around Churchs Ferry include rental houses available by the night or week (usually used by hunters but great avaialability the rest of the year), hunting lodges, bed and breakfasts, camping, RV sites and plenty of other options. I'm sorry Mavis had a poor experience with lodging but should she or others wish to visit - please do not let one bad review spoil your plans.

Leo

Deceptive Neptune blends with the Moon to create confusion today; be on your toes at work, where misunderstandings are likely to originate. Organize yourself well today in preparation for tomorrow, when the real fun begins. The more you can clear things up now, the better you will fare tomorrow when everyone seems to go mad.
