Just because someone does not agree with your philosophy does not mean that they should be extirpated from their country. It does not make them less of a citizen. However, you could be termed marginal because of your ignorance at understanding that the Constitution gives one the right to express his/her displeasure at the government.

There is no law that says one must salute the flag. Saluting the flag does not make one a good citizen. It is in a person’s actions that one can be deemed a good citizen. Being a good citizen is understanding the Constitution and how it impacts your life as well as those of your neighbors. It is understanding the role of government, voting, serving jury duty, faithfully paying fair taxes, and living within the law even when you do not agree with it until you can legally change it. It is reminding others of a greater community and where our roots are established. It is understanding that neighbor may not agree with your opinion but, respectfully allowing him/her to voice his/her opinion. It means protecting our freedoms and our Constitution and sometimes giving our life to do so. It is taking care of one’s property, standing on your own two feet as much as possible, and helping your neighbor to do the same. It is also understanding that we must work together for the betterment of our nation and find a compromise where two dichotomous ends come to terms.
