Ex-Councilman

"Ah,the tangled web we weave,when our aim is to twist and deceive." An ex-marionville Councilman,was so outraged at the Mayor's decisions,that he quit Council. In fact,he missed a lot of consecutive Council meetings before he quit. A lot. But it seems he wasn't too outraged to go ahead and let the City pay him with tax dollars for those meetings. Check the record yourself. Now he wants the Mayor impeached. Every town has a resident nut like this that never stops getting attention for themselves by telling the criminals,neer-do-wells,white trash,and ignorant wing nuts that they are their hero arrived. Of course the silent majority of normal citizens is laughing at him behind his back,and he is so confident of his own popularity and genius,he isn't even aware of this. If he thinks he has a grassroots organization,just let him sign in as a candidate for political office in Marionville. The thunder and swiftness,the size of the group ready to pound him back in his greasy hole will dizzy him. We will hit the streets and the paper with his attendance record,his remarks about leaving this town with recent murders without competent police protection.His conection to the twice defeated Arensmeyer,and much disliked Leffenwell,whom he once accused of misuse of personal city files. Please run for office disgruntled Ex-Councilman. Those loud- mouthed hillbillies that don't even live in Marionville and can't vote that drink your swill everyday at that business on the highway won't save you from the truth that is waiting on you in numbers you can't even imagine. When you see the election results,you will think someone is kidding you. Please do run. We have been very,very busy about you for quite some while. You are much more disliked in this town than you have an inkling of. Just wait...

I know which ex-councilman you are talking about. The irony of this guy,is that the very thing he complains about the current Mayor,is the thing he wants for himself. Power and control. One time I saw him holding court at the local loafer table, talking to a guy who is a known drug dealer in town,telling that idiot everything he wanted to hear about how the cops had to much power. Of course the people who want to break the law are all for less police. This guy is a drug dealers dream. He tells the low lifes what they want to hear. Anything to get elected.I have little kids. I don't want a moron like this watching out for our safety.

The best thing that could happen to Marionville is to completely remove permanently and bar forever anyone who has ever been remotely connected to city government for the last 20 years,including the one you are talking about. No one who has ever been on council or Mayor should ever been allowed on again,all they do is fight like 5 year olds,and look out for themselves. No one over 40 should be allowed to run. There has never been a city that needs fresh ideas as much as Marionville. Please....new people who have NOTHING to do with the old people in anyway run for city government. No nuts with crazy ideas like idiot amateurs controlling the police force please. We need protected from the crazies like that.

Don't discount people over 40. Fresh ideas can come from people not part of the in-fighting. Also, don't assume hillbillies don't have knowledge or common sense. You're making too many assumptions about people sitting around discussing issues around a coffee table.

I do agree that it seems like the entire set of past and present fight like recess time in the old school. Fresh ideas are certainly needed.

I wish they'd keep up their website for former residents. They have a website, but it is useless without information. Maybe someone local could request the minutes of the meetings get posted???

All of you under 40, highly intelligent, beloved people in Marionville who have all the answers, should run for city council or mayor. I'm just sure the city would improve 100%. How about helping all those old people who do all the work at the park. I am sure you could work faster and smarter than they do. The only people who will do anything in Marionville are the few that is on the city council, park board, p & z, etc. All the rest want to do is bitch about the people who do try to do something. Help out or shut up!!

I find it quite humorous how you believe that this ex-councilman has any remote desire to run for an office. I'm pretty sure he has learned his lesson numerous times that the town of Marionville is nothing worth fighting for.
Perhaps he was seen chatting it up with a known drug dealer,(Hell, the said drug dealer could have been your brother) I would love to tally up the number of times I've seen any councilman or the mayor herself in association with known criminals. That man will talk to anyone who speaks to him first.
Power and Control had little if anything to do with his motives in running for office. CHANGE is what he wanted, CHANGE is what he tried for, CHANGE is what he failed at. So drop it he's out of there and he's probably even out of the city before long too so your dreams have just come true :) He is now just a citizen actually standing up for what he believes in instead of sitting around watching the corrupted govern the ignorant.
Oh and all those

seem to be the majority of Marionville so congratulations on identifying the traits that can probably describe you and your compradres to a T.

dont know who you are but you are ignorant...the people of marionville or any town... want police who know what they are doing who want police who are competent, not less police. WE WANT HELP AND PROTECTION...NOT POLITICS. WHY CANT YOU LOW LIFES UNDERSTAND???
