lph hospital

does anyone knows if lph hospital is closing

I heard they were merging with mountain view. Doesn't look good. It's the company running it. People need to stand up and take back their jobs.

lph will still be providing care. The hospital will be a new nursing home with new structures.

I heard that to be true.

It's not gonna be a nursing home. It is still the same minus an icu(effective july 1).msp nurses will be getting special training to care for pts who are usually icu pts but can be cared for on msp. Please pray for the ho
spital employees and the community.Hope no one loses their job and that the community rallies behind their local hosp!

God will take care of this situation. This will be a large nursing home soon. Lph is in the process of a hiring seminar.

Guess that is what we need in Big Stone, another nursing home. Wellmont will make more from Medicaid for old folks home than hospital. I hope the hospital board fights this. we need our hospital. If they don't all the people around should go Norton to Community Hospital. At least they act like they want the patients. Wellmont is greedy and has run almost the doctors off now so why shouldn't their patients go to Community instead of Mountain View[old St. MAry's] It is closer to Big Stone.Maybe the board members are in for the big payoff too. Or maybe they want to live out their last days in the good ole Pine old folks home.

So true, nursing home candidate, Welmont has almost cornered the entire health care market. Every employee is walking on eggshells afraid for their jobs. A nursing home is just good business and that is what they have turned health care into. Why should they pay a bunch of R.N.s, when Aides and one R.N. per floor will work out just fine. I don't know about you but I'm booking my suite NOW!

Nursing homes won't pay RN wages! LPNs work cheaper!Sounds like you and me would make good roommates if Medicaid won't pay for us a private room. See you at the home.

Nursing homes will pay a RN Supervison a larger amout of pay, im already checking in on the home.

Sorry nursing home resident, I met a lovely elderly man today and he won't be lonesome long. So I'm heading to The Laurels. He may have a brother.
