Teacher of the year wrote: <quoted text> I am the idot? My name is not on a Big Stone Gap forum under the title "Assistant principal charged with selling drugs"! But, I guess we are all known for something aren't we? I am sure he can add this to his perfect reputation. Maybe you and him could join in a just say no to drugs movement or the victims of falsely accused drug dealers!? I think there are 2 prisons close to there. He probably knows the directions. You could get some support from there?! Check out the girl scouts also? From the information that I know he has had his hands in alot of cookie jars.... Yes, apparently you are the "idot" as you say. You also seem to be a bit worked up over this whole deal, what gives? I for one, would like to join a movement to support the falsely accused. You make that sound like a bad thing. I bet you'd change your tune if it were you that had been accused of something you didnt do. You also state "From the information that I know he has had his hands in alot of cookie jars.... ", it appears that you are accusing Mr. Webb of messing around with underage girls. What is it that you "Know"? Do you have evidence or is this another false accusation? Did you mean to write "From what I hear"? If so you should clarify that. Maybe you heard all of this from the Zirkles?

Ricky, We believe in you now more than ever. Hopefully this will be over soon so please hang in there. The church and community are praying for you and you should hold your head up high. Even the news reporters (KTN,Coalfield, Post) were on your side after hearing the evidence at your trial. You got an unfair decision and we all believe it must be reversed in January. You hang in there and we welcome you back anytime. May God bless you and your family.

I know of Mr. Webb and the so called witnesses against him. How about putting those people on trial, those who admit that they have partied or bought or sold to Mr. Webb. In this country all it takes is for someone to say on more than 2 occassions that someone has done something and they can a have a indictment out for them. So there is no Real Proof of Webb doing anything other than he said, she said. So instead of going after those that you have no proof of how about those that just sat in the court and told what they DID DO, oh but they just walk free, right?

This whole situation is ridiculous and those witnesses belong in jail for their confirmed crimes. I even read that the Zirkles were caught on video tape several times buying drugs. How can they walk away? The county got this one way wrong. But, from what I hear it's not over yet.

ur psycho wrote: I have to add this. Articles in the paper are always talking about Street Sweeper. Well, Street Sweeper is a big JOKE! You see all the names of people who are indicted, then you see that they are not prosecuted. YOu know whY? Because authorities get them in there, get them to "narc" and then let them go. What's the point in having a drug task force when they just keep letting these people out of it? Do they think their not gonna go and do the same things they were doing before? What a joke Street Sweeper is. Just go look at the public records at how many people have nolle prosequi. What do ya think that means? Instead of helping the people they know who abuse drugs, like sending them for treatment, they send them back to the streets. Wow, what a system we have! We have to agree with you 100% thay Sweep 'em up print there name and most of 'em end up with all the charges droped or if thay do git sum time it's all suspended,,,slap on the wrist for tellin' on there friends...then there friends do the same thing and tell on them....if you live in Innman or whore hill or most any trailer park then you already know what i;m sayin, and it even worse in Clintwood,,,in dickenson county over the past 10 yrs or so everyone has told on everyone else...so all you so called "players" ain't gettin over on the police cause your friends and probally some of your family has already told them enough,,listen or don't, take this advice from someone who know how the street game is and move on man find a job and make the best with what you have cause chances are thay allready know who's dealin whether you believe it or not you will lose in the end,PEACE OUT!

I was hoping a jury would see thru the BS and vendicate Mr. Webb. I hope this guy ends up owning Wise County. At least they saw thru the conspiracy and distribution charges. He was found guilty of simple possession, which sounds very fishy. I don't understand how someone can be found guilty of possession without any physical evidence? For the sake of all our personal rights, this must get thrown out or overturned. I always thought someone had to be found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. This whole case is built upon doubt. I was hoping this guy would turn around and burn everyone that accused him since there was little to no evidence against him. There's still a chance and I hope the judge remembers the constitution and throws this BS out. This dude got down SOOOO wrong. Especially with that batch of witnesses. Put them in jail and lower the crime rate in half in Wise County!

Put them in jail and lower the crime rate in half in Wise County! AMEN! Couldn't have said it better myself. Glad there's somebody out there that will speak their mind. This guy got screwed over big time and the real crooks walked away. Jury got this one wrong. But at least they saw through the big lies. I think if the guy was guilty, he would have never went to trial. Just goes to show you that if you are indicted, you are presumed guilty until innocent. Which is so backwards! I bet the jury got tired and was ready to head to the house. Man can only do so much and then has to put his faith in the jury. I was hoping the jury would deliberate for about a minute and deliver a not guilty on all charges. I hope he continues to fight it and just maybe the judicial system will get it right. It's a sad day when someone can get their life ruined over no evidence. I know if I was ever on a jury, they would have to show me something undisputable, before I voted guilty. I even heard the guy was dating an ex wife of the drug task force. Smells too fishy for me to think he was guilty. Did they ever find any pills on the guy? If not, then the possession charge must get dropped. How can you get charged for possession without any physical evidence? From what I understand, it was all based on testimony, no physical evidence. Let the guy walk and then he can sue everyone that ruined his reputation. We would love it! People are making a mockery of our community, church, and county.

I don't know the man, but have kept up with the case. How in the world can a person be found guilty of something that they weren't even tried for? This is the silliest case I'e ever heard of. Judges should be voted in instead of appointed to the position. jmo

i think they were all guilty and i think they all lie and i think its true of us all
i think it doesn't matter in the long run
i think everyone is guilty of something, somewhere at some point in their lives...it just seems like the truly evil never get caught, or if they do, nothing happens to them...until a lot of people who should have never suffered do...and even then, even when they get caught, it doesn't matter, no matter how much jail time, fines, punishment, it doesn't undo the suffering and pain and loss they cause, so what is the point even...
so it doesn't matter how many laws you write or pass or change "oh yes i did"...
evil is everywhere
i tried for a long time to stick my head in the sand, and lie to myself that evil wasn't everywhere, but i was wrong...
remember that post we went back and forth on that caused such an uproar "oh yes i did"???...well, I will tell you where the "real" portal to hell is "oh yes i did", and I am not saying this out of boredom this time, or to yank at anyone's chains this time
the real portal to hell...it's the human heart, and we are all guilty...
May God help us, all...
some of you know me by different monikers and pseudonyms at topix and various other boards, i found topix quite entertaining this summer and fall, regretfully this is my last post...I will not be back; but it has been interesting and I keep some of you in my prayers...NS is now leaving the building, God bless you all...
one last thought "oh yes I did"; i haven't heard from bubba in "knoxville" in a long time on here, but if he comes back after i am gone tell him i said hello/goodbye and that i pray for him
