The City of big lake needs a new city complex like the one found in elk river this cities building are pathetic the city hall is attached to a pizza place and event center come on that sad and even worse the police department is a old auto shop( never mind your feeling about the police administration) it is still sad that our city buildings are so pitiful and cheap i think we should build a city hall / pd that is connected to the existing fire hall. come on and lets take pride in our city

Start saving your pennys and a hell of a lot more, because they are not getting mine. City hall is just fine where it is and for the police station saying it is an old body shop if the build a new one it still would have bays in it to park their cars so you can still call it a body shop that just cost's alot more.

Are you kidding me? This is the most corrupt city I have ever seen. The city council and mayor are more interested in building their own empires with stupid projects destined to fail like ice arenas, baseball fields and sidewalks two feet from the highway. Us taxpayers are tired of financing these types of projects.

From what I read online, our police chief and his whiny staff are lucky to still have jobs and not yet be taken over by the more professional county sheriff to be complaining about having to work in an old body shop. For any of us taxpayers to care enough about their plight to devote more of our money to make their cares about their working environment any significant concern of ours is foolish.

Maybe if us citizens can stop seeing lawsuits, officers leaving and we can start seeing some results, only then would I even begin to think about giving anymore of my tax dollars to support anything police related.

Maybe we SHOULD build a new city complex. Maybe this new complex should include a local DMV office so that our Big Lake Mayor can finally stop breaking the law and she can finally find time to go get a front license plate put on her car.

How proud us citizens must be to know that we are being lead by a mayor who feels that it is OK to thumb her nose at the laws. I guess if I was drinking buddies with the police chief, I would feel above the law too.

I guess the rest of us just have to obey the laws that she feels she does not need to follow. Maybe the next time she is out drinking, a good police officer or sheriff deputy can find it within themselves to pull her over. We will see
how untouchable our infamous mayor is then.

Daily Horoscope for December 11

Virgo

This is not a day for sitting still if you can possibly avoid it because it will be a fast track to bad temper and sharp-tongued outbursts. Have plenty of short breaks, go for lots of walks or work up a sweat in the gym in your lunch-hour. If you're driving, keep an eye on the speedometer because it will be very tempting to go too fast and you'll be furious if you're caught.
