Community Gym

We need to rally together to find sponsors/donators to build a community gym that the children can use all year long. Like a YMCA? Any ideas on how to get this started? It could have a pool, a basketball court, a volleyball court, raquetball courts, etc.

What is wrong with the one at Meddow Park?

We need to knock off the crap and get a 24 hour fitness put in.
Big bear lake and Big bear city get enough tourist who vaction here not to mention locals who might welcome a real GYM that is low cost and also has a full gym set up, treadmills,free weights, machine weights and a spa, steam room and for those long cold winter days and Sauna!If a bigger site was used we could even get a indoor swimming pool and be able to swim in winter let alone in summer (ever really swim in the lake even in summer? Brrrrr!!!)
So forgot a community gym! It won't happen, let's get 24 hour fitness in here, its long over due.

We used to have a gym where the Big Bear Brewery is. Its where the sheriff's deputies used to hang out.

They always had a designated steroids runner who would bring the good stuff from Mexico.

One day he went down to pick up. Did some alcohol and some other good stuff before crossing back, so he was good and lit up.

When he was coming across, he was asked if he had anything to declare. He said something like, "Why, I only gots this big ol' serape, here. Now you don' wanna check out my serape, does ya?"

So, obligingly, the girl said, "OK."

She opened it up and spilled steroids and syringes all over the place.

Anyway, we sent chubby arms away from the valley.
