Sound City the movie directed by Dave Grohl is originally planned to premiere next year at Sundance Film Festival 2013.
However a petition has begun and is being supported by such well know celebrities such as Johnny Depp, Rod Stewart and David Gilmore from Pink Floyd.

Sundance Film Festival receives over 10,000 submissions each year and does not have to prove ( based upon a statement made in court this year) it has to actually watch the 10,000 film submissions. Yet they continue to take revenue estimated at millions of dollars from filmmakers submission fees that are all hoping to becoming selected and discovered.

A fan blog site with a " Sound City" petition is being posted for now, as Dave will decide whether or not to submit to those who pull the strings and keep the film at Sundance, or to remove it as a simple gesture for other filmmakers and artists who are being taken advantage of.

We all hope Dave will stand up for what is right.

This is one of the videos directing attention to Sundances policies.
