Keren Sadafi alias Karen Martin and other names as needed, was probably your Jennifer. This is an Israeli owned moving scam. They are closing down Big Sam Transportation and starting up again as "Peace of Mind Relocation" Should be Piece instead of Peace. It would be more descriptive of what they do to the customer. The company steals what they want from shipments and cherry pick the items as the pack/load into a rented box truck. They do not have a truck and they hire day labor off the street--all except the chief goon "Joey" who is really Yuval Ederi DOB 3-22-77 ex Israeli military who is very good at intimidation, theft, extortion etc. especially of women.

Despite the friendly name, and wishing everyone a "blessed" day, they couldn't care les about their customers. They provide the exact opposite of "peace of mind."
I was promised a morning pick-up, then told "between noon and 2," then told "another hour or 2," then they did not show up at all!
They arrived the next morning, and despite having filled-out an extensive item invoice online was told that my items exceeded the weight and cubic footage that the estimate ($1,175) allowed for. In addition, I was told that all glass would have to be crated, and all furniture RE-wrapped (not to mention the $100 "elevator fee"), to the tune of almost DOUBLE the estimate. The driver was kind enough to reveal that contrary to my understanding, once the truck is loaded it is NOT driven directly to the next address, but rather stored in a warehouse until some unknown future delivery date.
I was abandoned, insulted, neglected, abused, mistreated, and victimized. The only peace of mind I could take from this experience would be if they go out of business.

This Company was a nightmare, from beginning to end. They showed up late,
with a truck that was way too small. Then couldn't get in communication with anyone from the Company to send out a bigger truck....3 hours later still waiting, finally new truck comes and they begin to start wrapping furniture. Now mind you they were suppose to be at the house no later than 9:00 am and they showed up at 12:30....now its around 4:30(and we should have been done) but we are just starting...and when I say WE I mean WE. They only had 3 guys there to load and wrap and they were 3 lazy guys on top of that. Now its 5 0'clock and they want to break for lunch...hmmmmmmm? Needless to say: this Company was so lame, they didn't finish until almost 2 am. That being said they got into town 2 days before us...I think my furniture got moved around and several things were broken....OH and did I mention we paid them almost $3,000.00 dollars more than the original quote. I just wanted them gone and out of my life. Peace of mind, my butt...they were a piece alright, a real piece of work. DONT USE this company...spare yourself the anguish and hire Mayflower, or anybody but them.

If I could give this company a negative score, please believe me I would. My moving experience with them was hellish. I'd rather have my wisdom teeth removed again than deal with these people. Here is the rundown of what you will get with them:

-Non responsiveness.
-Immensely delayed shipments
-Dramatically inaccurate time estimates
-Rude staff, rude drivers
-Hidden, outlandish extra charges.
-Inconsiderate delivery times
-Moving your own stuff into your house/apartment.

I was given the run around by the people at this company regarding when my shipment would arrive. I received estimates of arrival that were constantly wrong and being changed. The woman who was my contact was hard to reach, she would send an e-mail when she didnt want to talk to you but then not reply to them when you tried to reach her.

Then, when the driver finally got to my city he tried to charge me an extra 250 for a truck that was smaller, this ended up being documented but was hardly explained in an up front and candid manner. Once I got the guy to finally show up at my place, at 8:30pm even though he told me the day before it would be between 3 and 4, he arrived with no help to move my stuff from his truck up the 2 flights of stairs to my apartment. I had to carry half of my stuff (or risk having to be up until after midnight waiting for him to move my things into the apartment).

When it came time to pay him, he told me I could only pay in cash (when the stuff was picked up I used my credit card, why was it disallowed on delivery). Aside from having to move my own stuff into the apartment and the driver being late to deliver my stuff, when I received it, a lot of my things were damaged. I have a dent in my wooden desk top, my bed frame has been scratched to hell from the moving truck, and my bed was not wrapped so it arrived extremely dirty. The bed was particularly alarming because they wrapped it when it was picked up. They also wrapped all the pieces of the bed frame. When the pieces arrived, none of them were wrapped and they were all damaged.

Aside from just poor service this company will also charge you for having to "walk long distances" and "go up more than 7 steps". I imagine that is somewhat reasonable, but on top of poor service it was really just the last straw.

Find another company, do not put your belongings into these peoples care because they will not treat you or your things with respect.(I got a glimpse into the moving truck when I had to move my own stuff, and I can tell you the way they transport things is an atrocity.)

Please learn from my mistakes and do not give these people your money or business.

I used this company this summer to move from L.A. to Kansas. The woman who booked me Michelle was very polite, and professional she answered many of my questions any time I would call and that was pretty frequently. I was prepared and set to move on Aug. 28, 2011. To start off the movers were an hour late. I was moving out of state and that really inconvenienced me I had plenty of things to get done. When they came there were two guys set to move my things. The guy has me start to sign paperwork and BAM. I was hit with overages of about $300. Packaging, which was tape.( I did not ask for them to tape a thing) flight fees, stair fees, all that was not apart of my original quote in which I told Michelle where I live, 2nd floor and everything. To top it off the ass hole used my roommates DOLLY to move MY THINGS. Just because it was in the room does not mean it is yours to use. You're the moving company shouldn't you have supplies anyway?? I was alone in the apartment with these two men so I didn't bother to say anything.
They packed my things and estimated it would take about a week. So I went on moved to Kansas and waited. I called after the first week and asked for Michelle because I was upset with all the charges I received, and emailed her also. It was as if Michelle had died, because Natalie a woman who claimed to be the manager was now answering the calls, and emails I sent. She was extremely rude and snide with me. Sounded like a young girl, brat who maybe was someone's daughter and thought she could speak to people in any way she wanted. The whole time of 4 weeks that I was waiting they could not tell me where my stuff was, when it was coming, or anything. She was ALWAYS in meetings they said, and she never returned phone calls. I was TOLD she is the ONLY person at the company with access to dispatch to relay me the information. SHE never had ANY information for me. Which I found unprofessional, they had no idea when they could give me a date. Finally my stuff arrived September 28,2011 exactly one month from the pick up date. They were in possession of my things and anyone who wouldn't worry about that is strange. My bins came in smashed, furniture dinged, and in bad condition. I was so ready to be done with this TERRIBLE company I never even called to make a claim. PLEASE PLEASE USE SOMEONE ELSE. They are ripping people off, they are not a peace of mind but complete hassle, unprofessional people, and no one is college educated it seems. They have no regard that YOUR BELONGINGS ARE IN THEIR CARE. I wouldnt reccomend them to my worst enemy. Please GO WITH SOMEONE, ANYONE ELSE.

Peace of Mind Relocation moving company did an awesome job moving us out of old office and into a new space. The movers were on time, did a great job of explaining everything to me, and then carefully packaged everything for the short ride to our new place. They quickly unloaded and I luckily did not have anything damaged in the process. I appreciated their help to get everything done quickly and I would definitely use them if I needed to move again.

The services I needed from Peach of Mind involved packing and moving from a residential home to a storage facility. I did a lot of research and finally decided on Peace of Mind because they were competitive with their prices, thorough and very professional. Also, they were able to accommodate the date of my move. I hired them two days before the actual move. This was a big plus for me. Very important was that the three movers were prompt, professional, very efficient and hard working. They were very careful with all my furniture and more importantly with the fragile items. They have the best packing skills, everything was packed tightly and neatly. The loading and unloading was done with lots of care, nothing was damaged. I will definitely use this company again.

I had the Most AWFUL (terrible, horrible) experience with this company.

Peace of Mind was very convincing at the outset - when soliciting my business. In reality very very sloppy/unprofessional,unqualif ied and inexperienced movers; threw my items in boxes - no rhyme or reason to the boxes, no labeling, exorbitant rate hike (once all the items were in the truck!)

Prior to the weekend of the scheduled delivery (02/18/2012) I had asked the woman in charge of delivery to call me - confirming day/time. "I promise I'll call " she said on Thursday the 17th of February" - there was no call returned - the driver of the moving truck called the morning of the 18th and indicated he was on the way. I was totally unprepared - Peace of Mind did not accept credit cards or checks. It had to be cash. So I indicated that the next day or another day would be better. The driver said he would call me back - he never did. That same night (at 08:30pm at night!) Peace of Mind called me, threatening to "store" my items (at a cost to me) unless I agreed to accept deliver at 09:30pm at night(!) on the 18th of February. I had to desperately head out to go get the cash from a late night ATM. When the delivery arrived many items were either lost or damaged, the re-assembling of the furniture (per the agreement) did not happen. The driver left without assembling many of the items.

Damage List: 1) BIke (lost) 2) Filing Cabinet - dented 3) Coffee Table - damaged/dented 4) Dresser - all legs broken! 5) Chairs - legs missing (cannot use!) 6) Book shelf holders missing (cannot use!) 7) Broken urban rebounder (cannot use!) 8) Broken Knife set (I had used these carefully for > 8 years).. I am sure I'll find other items lost(stolen) or damaged as I go along.

And in the end, the actual cost was 2000.00 more! than originally anticipated.

I really should have read ALL the other reviews on the internet before I went with this outfit. There are many many victims of this company. They apply tactics of coercion/threats/fraud to force large sums of money from the customer AND provide the cusotmer with shoddy, unprofessional and terrible service.. it's a pattern. Read the reviews *everywhere* on the web. It's terrible that the CA attorney general permits CA residents to suffer the horrors of dealing with this company.

Here is the Better Business Bureau rating on this company: http://www.santabarbara.bbb.org/business-revi... - F!!!!

I urge you NEVER to use this company. It's a horrible scam/I feel violated that these thieves even touched my stuff. ugh!

And a previous reviewer is right. The initial person you speak with (in my case "mary") just disappears and you are left to deal with Natalie - the banshee from hell.:(

I had the same terrible experience, this is the most unprofessional group of people I have ever encountered. They broke open my boxes and stole from me, damaged my things, and were rude and insulting. When they came to get my stuff I should have told them to leave but they already had a 200 deposit. They were smug and grinning when they delivered (I guess they were proud they had stolen and broken my things). I have hired a lawyer and am taking legal action!! Who is smug now :)

I am experiencing everything u did and more right now. They have held my furniture and possessions for more than 45 days holding it hostage until I pay additional fees. Scam is another word for Israelis. I worked for one for about 20 years. Lawsuits and threats don't phase them. They protect themselves to well or shut down and open up somewhere else. They only understand one thing. And it's about to happen. Stay tuned. This is going to be fun

WORST COMPANY EVER!!!!! The should shut their doors and do everyone a big favor. Everyone that works there is rude and unprofessional. Original quote was $3500 and had to pay $6000 + to get my stuff moved. Lots of broken stuff, scuffed up walls in new house, broken thermostat in new house, and lost some of our things. Every box marked fragile or glass was loaded on to the truck under all the other boxes. I even had a wardrobe box with all our good clothes in it end up being crushed down to the size of a small box because it had a table stacked on top of it??? I could go on forever about how bad they are. Even the driver of the subcontracted truck was surprised at how the trailer was loaded. That is a good point to make also, they do not employ any drivers for more than local moves and do not even have their own trucks. After our stuff was packed in one truck they moved it to another trailer (without letting us know) and had a subcontractor bring it cross country. The subcontractor was more professional and nice than anyone that works at that company.

Broken item:
Full box of coffee cups (cups from vacations)
Corning cooking dish (belonged to Mom)
Art easel (present for daughter from a teacher)
Flat screen TV stand
Wine glasses
Crock pot
Candy dish (Christmas present from daughter to Mom)
clothes washer and dryer (who loads these upside down in a truck!!!!!!!)
THE LIST GOES ON AND ON AND ON AND ON!!!!!!!!!!

Lost items:
Personalized Louisville Slugger bat from family vacation.
Air compressor
Cisco router that was packed into a box with other items and that is the only thing missing from the box???????

We even ended up with someone's original print and they said "o well". I would like to return it to the owner, but don't know how to do it and this company said they don't care about that.

This company has an F rating with the BBB. The problem is that they have cleverly registered their company in Houston Texas as well and have been given an A rating.
When you google "peace of mind relocation BBB" the A rating in Houston comes up and the F rating in Santa Barbra is no where to be found. The company is located in Los Angeles. The following is the link to the F rating.

http://www.santabarbara.bbb.org/business-revi...

The A rating with Houston BBB link is as follows: http://www.bbb.org/houston/business-reviews/m...

The owners of this company have also operated as Big Sam Transportation which has a C rating with the BBB. The link is : http://www.la.bbb.org/business-reviews/Moving...

I would also just like to make this point. How many of you go on the internet and write a good review for a company, especially a moving company. Most people expect good service, and when you get it you don't feel the need to write reviews on the net. It is only when you have a bad experience that most people are compelled to take the time to get on the internet and write a review, so that you can warn others, that they won't be screwed like you were. That being said I would suggest that most good reviews written on the net are composed by the business themselves trying to counter the damage done by the bad reviews. Take them with a grain of salt. Just sayin......

Take advantage of the web and do your homework!

Keren Sadifi also owns RIGHT START MOVING. DO NOT USE THEM! It is THE same scam! Heres my review on Right Start Moving:

Right Start Moving was the sole reason our move was stressful. We were told 5 days in a row that our stuff would arrive in a few hours, not seeing our things day after day after day. We took off work, lost income and were completely stressed out for days. I called the driver day after day with no response and when I did get ahold of him he was no where near our town or state. I called the office DAILY and was told EVERY TIME that dispatch was not there and my call would be returned. NEVER WAS MY CALL RETURNED. The other people in the office said there was NOTHING they could do to help me. Finally, 5 days after we originally were told our things would arrive "in a few hours", and 10 days after the move, our belongings were delivered. Boxes were crushed, opened, destroyed, leaking and ripped. They had obviously been handled several times, with no regard or respect. After our spilled, messy boxes were delivered the drivers left, informing us they dont even work for your company which was in no way disclosed to us when we signed the contract. They had never even herd of your company. After they left we realized pieces of our furniture were missing, the top to the desk, hardware for the desk and several pieces of our disassembled bookshelf. As we waited for the drivers to return I frantically began checking all boxes for any missing merchandise only to find we had a few boxes that were NOT EVEN OURS. This was so disturbing and made me very uneasy. They are supposed to inventory EVERYTHING, thats how they sell you their services. Obviously they do a poor job of that, if even doing it at all. 2 hours later the drivers arrived, we got our desk and furniture pieces, and gave them the boxes that were not ours. We had over 10 glassware products that were shattered, a whole box of kitchen things that had to be tossed because the box was so severely damaged everything in it was destroyed. Last night we realized that one of our collector skateboards is missing out of a box that had hardware pieces in it. The box was taped slightly open. This is INFURIATING because that is worth a ton of money and your company stole it from us. This was THE WORST company i have ever contracted with. They are only nice to your clients BEFORE they sign a contract.I was working with Esther, she was so very nice before I signed the contract, after that she would not speak to me. After that you are on your own. I am going to blast this review, plus more on every review site I can find. My hope is to prevent ANYONE willing to do research on yo to contract with Right Start Moving. They are THE worst company I have ever had to deal with.

http://www.pe acerelocati…
Please do your homework and look into Peace of Mind Moving Relocation Services. They are owned by the same guy as Right Start Moving. They are about to go under because of so many lawsuits against them. The same owner had to shut down his last moving company as well because of lawsuits (Big Sam Moving). READ THESE TESTIMONIALS:

http://www.topix.com/for
http://www.trustlink.org

The owner Keren Sadafi is known as an Israeli Scammer. DO NOT USE ANY OF HIS COMPANIES! You will regret it.

I also find it suspicious you cant find any reviews on Right Start Moving....

If I could give them ZERO or negative stars I would.\

Keren Sadafi is a woman. If you deal with her she often uses different names. She owned Big Sam Relocation, then Peace of Mind Relocation and it no appears she owns Right Start Moving. She has been suspended from owning any moving companies by the US Department of Transportation for at a minimum of one year to 36 months. If she is operating a moving company it is in violation of a court order an judgment. Turn her in to the US Department of Transportation. Don't let her get away with running another rip off company that preys upon the public.
