I'm a little peeved over the break-ins around our community. The have been numerous home invasions and the perp is stealing jewelry. Not only is he violating our homes but detroying our property that we work hard. Why isn't there any leads or suspects. Why aren't the police patroling our neighborhoods day and night. Why isn't the area being canvassed for leads. One crook will snitch on another.Looks like the community will have to catch him themselves. We don't don't have budgets to contend with-our main objective is to protect our family and property. Our only agenda is to live a free and peaceful life.So far, things are pointing in an interesting direction.

Back in the past when there were a lot of break ins you had a sheriff that would put his detectives in their unmark cars patroling looking for the suspects. There were a strings of breaking and enterings just before Sheriff Wallace took office. It took about 1 week to capture these guys. But they were caught. You cant sit in the office all day and solved crimes. You have to get out and interview people and look for suspects. This isnt happening. Plus the majority of the detectives working for the sheriff's are inexperienced and dont know how to investigate the crime. Road deputies are out of place most of the time and rather stop speeders that ride and protect the property f the citizens. The experience detectives that you had at one time have gone to other positions because of the politics involved in the sheriff's office. The are other problems in the county that need attention, gangs, drugs, domestic violence, property crimes. The drug problem in this county is bad and needs attention in all areas of the county, but the attention on drugs seem to be more gear to the south end of the county, which is the wallace area. The problem is with the leaders. If you allow your employee's to do what they want to they will. The sheriff's department has enough employee's to provide the citizens of duplin county with quality service. The county is divided into 4 sections but rarely have a deputy in the zone. Better managment could be establish to provide a better service to the county. Years ago you counldnt get a job with the sheriff's office unless someone quit or retired. Now there are alway an opening. When local police dept. have a open you will have serveral deputies apply for the position. So what does that tell you. people need to realized that they arent being given the service that they derserved.Remember that the nest election year is upon us.

I remember last year when the shopping center was robbed. One store lost numerous large items that had to go through the door. Two other stores were robbed that same week, same shopping center. The police station is two blocks away.If you need a town cop, cruise over to the corner store, you'll find him any time-all night. Our citizens need to look out for each other and their homes.Keep the doors locked and the guns loaded.Seems as though the criminals have more rights than the common hard working people. Some secrets need come out in my opinion.

Why was there 51 break-ins in the area and no suspect.I personally know 2 people who were victimized and they are now scared to death in there homes. How can someone go on a spree for so long .Where are the patrolman who should be watching the people they swore to protect???I guess budget cuts prevents them from buying gas??????They could'nt catch a cold if they tried.Maybe if a couple of them would stop hanging around the gals at the corner store, they just might deter the criminals.Serve and protect....Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha.......Right.Gotta get a job like that!
