Just happened to be browsing and brought back many good memories of Fairbanks 1956 -58. I had access to small airplanes and ferried planes to Nome via Galena over Ruby. There are two still wasting away out there. Herman Nelsons and heated oil. March 13, 1999 - A small fire caused an estimated $4,000 damage to a school under construction on Danby Street, city firefighters said.
