My concern as a citizen of Kent County is why is the Historic Socitey weighing in the commerical viability of Kent County? The historic society should worry about the well-being of historic Chestertown and Kent County. Kent County is light years behind in trying to get adequate coverage in cell phone use. It is bewildering once again, why a group of citizens that has no leverage would put their two cents into this vital communications need?

Yes is part of the answer and the other part of the answer are pepole that want to have a quiet and subdued region that will not adjust the changing ways outside of our community. I have spoken to police and emergency personnel who are appalled at the lack of adequate communications in our county. When a group of citizens that have no direct authorization to change things, makes recommendations that are only about the "look" of how towers should be, I have and those personnel have a problem with their intervention thus disallowing communications that should be modernize to be fully utilize. I hope that can give you more clearity( and my spelling is not to bad-:-). |
