I realize that Hal Rogers has done quite a bit in Kentucky, but when I thought the "gratitude" went too far was when part of Hwy 80 was renamed for Hal Rogers instead of Daniel Boone. I'm sorry, but there should be noone that should take the place of one of Kentucky's founding fathers that WALKED this land, exploring untouched regions, drank unfiltered water straight from the rivers and creeks, eats from the land or from wildlife he had to harvest himself, lived in self a constructed home, etc. Hal Rogers, on the other hand, travels across paved roads, airways, etc. via luxury cars, airplane, etc., drinks bottled water or manufactured drinks, eats from food bought at a grocery store or restaurant by money paid to him on behalf of the Ky taxpayers, and lives in a beautiful home constructed by a crew of highly paid builders. Its just wrong to give recognition in this manner.

Hal Rogers has done so much for Eastern Ky...I hope he remains in office until he is ready to retire. Congressman Rogers wants only the best for this region and continues to bring more opportunities to Eastern Ky.

I agree that he has done alot, I just think removing a portion of a road named after Daniel Boone was a little much. Does he really have to have that done? I know in Williamsburg alone there are two roads named after him and then theres the Hal Rogers Kentucky Splash Waterpark. If he was doing it for the people of Kentucky and not for his name to appear on things, he would insist it not be named after him. Oh well.

Well, basically like any politician... at least 90% of the time, there kinda like a yin yang... a little good in all bad and vice versa. Anyhow, I know that he has done alot, and its obvious in this area too. I think that the Laurel Countian has an uphill battle to climb in beating Hal and its most likely going to be a waste of his time, energy and money. Even though Hal Rogers' name is plastered around the state quite a bit, at least that shows hes getting things done.

Hal doles out more pork than a pig farmer. Spends our tax dollars on overpriced stuff and acts like he is doing us a favor.
