So if my 180,000 was not jointly held, then what?

The article forgot to mention that our own C Schummer's big mouth caused this problem. We sure have them - Chuck Schumer and Chuck (3 rent-controled apartment) Rangel.

Schumer should be prosecuted for his actions. He is the one who caused the run on the bank by stating that the bank was in imminent danger of collapse. *** I guess he does his banking elsewhere. *** I would also guess he and all of his cronies got their money out before he opened his big yap.

IndyMac, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Bear Sterns and soon Lehman Bros... 4,000 US dead, 100,000 Iraqis... Our national beer now brewed by Belgians (my wife cashes in) because the dollar is s** hit against the Euro... The price of oil triples with the idiot son of an oil man in the whitehouse. GM, goes from #1 auto maker to the verge of bankruptcy... Katrina, Walter Reed, "Mission Accomplished," Guantanamo, Spygate... Barbara and George Sr. just have to be brimming with pride over their little alcoholic! I know I am! And that is why I propose four more years of the same.

And this is how the Great Depression started. Some banker made a statement that the bank was going to crash. When everyone paniced fled to the bank to get their money the bank eventually did fail. Then boom... domino effect, they all failed because the panic spread. And this was due to these people who own a lot of the banks, aka The Federal Reserve Bank (a private company that prints and denotes how much our dollar is worth), getting a rise out of making many poor. Is history repeating itself again?

In the depression ere (when the liberal favorite FDR ruled the roost) Schumer would be prosecuted for his actions. I cannot imagine Newsday would actually mention Schumer's irresponsibility - I mean heaven forbid they criticize good old chuck. Worst rag in the world.

This is probably the worst administration ever -figure-headed by the dumbest president ever - but ruled by the most disgusting vice president ever. Think of the state of the nation 8 years ago... and then read the paper today. The republicans wasted no time in destroying a healthy nation. Maybe it would help if republicans had more sex... it might curb their appetites for corruption and greed.

Once again Schmuckie Chuckie sticks his nose in where it's not wanted. Now that this guy isn't kissing Hillarys b-u-t-t for a cabinet post he's on the rampage. All he looks out for is his rich buddies on the east end. How many times I have said we have to vote this idiot out. He's almost as bad as Piggy Pelosi. Matter of fact we should vote out ALL incumbents and get a couple of presidental candidates that want to protect the people. Have you heard any crying from Chuckie about this energy debacle? No it's just gimme, gimme. Trow da bum out!

You guys are right. I didn't know Charlie Schmuck was (ir)responsible in his comments...
Newsday wins the rag award again for its omission. The paper does as well as any other... under a litter box.

He just doubled the entire National Debt in 7 short years from $5Trillion to $10Trillion. This way, without the taxpayers noticing it, we have paid for all the illegal aliens, cradle to grave drug addicts on methadone covered in tattoos who will never be required to work a day in life, yet receive a Government check. It pays for all the AIDS aid to Africa, etc., etc., etc. and all other wastes of money. Now the money you lose in the bank over $100,000 is the actual "tax" that you will have to pay when it all hits the fan. Which is about now.

Let's not forget his 50 billion a month war to protect his oil investments, the sweetheart deals to Halliburton and the money to keep Guantanamo open. Those things were not for free, were they?
