Suozzi can't win on his "Do Less with More" platform.

Raising taxes has been Suozzi's and the Democrat legislature's answer to every fiscal challenge this County has faced.

Anybody but Suozzi, his time has come and gone and with it anything and everything that was good about Nassau. Have you driving to one of the parks lately? He diverted all the parks department money to his old courthouse shrine in Mineola. Have you seen the interior conditions of most county building? He diverted the money for their maintance to Reckson in the form of multi-year multimillion dollar leases. Instead of hiring county workers to assist the residents he hired all his political hacks and their family to sit around and cause chaos in every department. Time is up for Tommy Boy.

Another GOP looser from a once powerful party which is now in shambles. Amazing how the democrats have taken over so much power and all the Republicans can do is put up unknown candidates to loose over and over. At least the Town of Hempstead has Kate Murray!

In Italian, does "mangano" mean "can't believe I ate the whole thing"?

Even though I believe Suozzi should be replaced, this is th weakest Republican County ticket ever nominated.

Mondello has destroyed this once perfect political machine because of his greed.

How did he afford that move to Oyster Bay Cove, yet still stay as republican leader of Levittown West?

Its 2009, and Suozzi sounds like he is still running against Tom Gulotta!

All Mangano has to do to get elected is promise to cut spending and cut a lot of people who feed at the public trough. The people are tapped from their earnings being constantly fed into out-of-control federal, state, and local government with little return.

The people who supply the handouts want some money handed back. It's time for the non-productive to sink or swim or we're all going down.

Suozzi has done nothing but raise taxes and cut services. The economy is in shambles and the Democrats just keep hitting up the taxpayers for more money. Its shameful.

Who ever runs needs to run on the following to guarantee a win:

1) Reduce welfare and those on welfare mandatory random drug tests.
2) Deputize all police so they can enforce immigration laws so we can get rid of illegals
3)Cap property and school taxes as a first step then fix the broken school tax and property tax system.

That alone would win the election for anyone

If Mangano was the 2nd choice as you say, who was the first choice?

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Leo

There's an erratic quality to the day, thanks to the Full Moon in emotional Cancer, combined with a lunar eclipse. Loved ones are likely to behave in ways you hadn't counted on. The only way to cope with this is to be as flexible as possible. Someone might change an arrangement at the eleventh hour so you have to think on your feet, or others may be determined to do their own thing even though it doesn't suit you. Get any arguments out of the way quickly so you can enjoy your New Year's Eve celebrations with a glad heart.
