Death Penalty Possible In Home Invasion Case

“He had no one to look up to. He never finished school. He never got the proper help. From what I'm told, he was killing cats as a kid. If that's not a sign, what is?”

Capital felony, rape and other new charges filed Monday against Leslie T. Williams, the recently released sex offender charged in the violent home invasion here March 30, would make Williams eligible for the death penalty if convicted.

Williams, 31, was charged by warrant in Superior Court in New Britain with two counts of capital felony and single counts of murder, first-degree aggravated sexual assault and first-degree kidnapping with a firearm.

In court, Judge Joan Alexander ordered the warrant sealed at least until Williams' next court date of April 18. She also placed a gag order on everyone involved in the investigation and court case, telling them not to make any statements outside of the courtroom 'to preserve the integrity of this case.' I hope he gets it. Guys like him deserve a 6x6 box instead of a jail cell.

Connecticut residents voted to HAVE the death penalty in our state. We did that a long time ago. He asked for and is getting special protection in the jail because HE is afraid the other prisoners will go after him because the Cheshire home invasion and murders stopped everyones' paroles for some time. With his New Britain home invasion and murder paroles may be stopped again. The state is now talking about using the "Three Strikes You're Out" rule. HE is scared... HE wants protection... HE is getting protection in the jail... HE had no choice... HE HAD to kill those women... HE HAD to rape the woman before he killed her... Both womens' birthdays were around then, the injured woman's birthday was two days after the break-in. The murdered woman's birthday was the Friday after the invasion. Her family and friends got a birthday cake for her that Friday and celebrated her birth even though she is now gone. Since HE is written about above I will leave this comment on that note. HE IS THE REASON WE VOTED FOR AND GOT THE DEATH PENALTY IN OUR STATE AND IT'S TIME WE USED IT!
