As a "Bethlehemite" I have fond memories of Illick's Mill and the surrounding area. I remember a "crumbly old building" sitting for years until Karen Dolan started this project. Everyone who worked on this project should be very proud of what they have accomplished. Riverfusion is also a good thing for the young people in the commmunity. I hope it will become a tradition.

We always hear what we do wrong, but never when we do something right. Well, ALL involved with this awesome project,YOU ROCK!!!! Hard work does pay off. As a parent-I'm proud of you, as a community member-I'm proud of you, and as a person-I'm so proud of you ALL. This truly is an example of kids doing something right.

What a great asset to our community. Thanks you to Karen Dolan and the over 200 students who have made this possible. Good luck with your new role in the community as nature and environment advocates and educators.

Has any of these "restored" mills been "restored" to an actual, working mill?

It's nice that they can save the building, but "historic preservation" should have been given a thought.

The Helfrich Springs Mill in Whitehall is the same thing. Nothing is left of the mill itself, except for a few stones, and the building hosts craft shows.

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Aquarius

Unfortunately it won't take much to get your wires crossed, especially if you're trying to keep track of your Christmas preparations. It's hard to work out what still needs to be done. A member of the family is away with the fairies or is being completely fanciful. It's a pest because that sort of behavior can make you feel anxious and harassed.
