I was at the same Crepe Myrtle Festival you were and saw NO patrol units there at Joe's booth. I did see the DUI trailer and if you had the sense to go over there, you would have seen MPD and S.O. off duty officers using it to fingerprint children in the terrible circumstances that they may be kidnapped. As far as the H.E.A.T. truck being down there....what do you use to tow a trailer?

You must be related to the obnoxious person that Al had making "Arnold" phone calls for him. Al couldn't lead Walton County out of a rain storm. Sounds like alot of rotten grapes left over from the last election. And by the way, I do know what I am talking about.

I'm sure you have Al, but unfortunately, you are NOT the man to lead Walton County.

You are so right. Al didn't win last time, so he is trying to discredit Sheriff Chapman. Hopefully he will realize this time that the people of Walton County do not want Al as their Sheriff.

Another term with a Sheriff that has his own "group" working for only the benefit of the Sheriff. I wonder if Joe, some of the Judges and other public officers each breakfast each morning together and discuss what they can do not for the well-being of the county but for their own well-being. This will never stop until we one by one work to elimate the "friends" that run our county.

What has happened to honesty and integrity in our country? Is it bought by big money? Is the character of some people that we elect too weak to uphold moral values when faced with selfish motives verses what is right and true? We will find out when the true crime moves in if we have a politician who is interested in just the appearance of things or a sheriff who will uphold the law.

Did you think by having Al elected, there would be no more breakfasts at the round table? NOT! For those that can remember, Al was just as big (no punt intended) at eating breakfast at the round table.
I don't think this is a bad thing. This gives all the officials the opportunity to discuss the issues at hand, share ideas and seek areas for improvement.
But I guess since it was not your guy that ran, you are going to find fault in anything that the opponent does, even if it is identical to your candidate.

I just heard about this site and thought I would see if there was actually any news topics that were of interest. I am completely revolted by the comments made in this forum. You have not only attacked people professionally but personnally as well and all under the cover of anonymity. Thankfully you are just a tiny, insignificant group who obviously have very unhappy existence within Walton County. My advice: Leave others alone and check your own closets because there is always something hiding there you don't want others to know about. If you don't want to make changes, don't complain about them. Get an education. Finally, if you are not happy and refuse to make changes for the better then get out! Run as far as possible and give this great County and the people who love to live here a break

You totally missed the point of the "breakfast" reference. We have to many people in office that "party" outside of their positions and once they put the hat back on of public officer, instead of working for the county, they see what they can do to make their "friends" more comfortable or more happy instead of what would be the best for the county and to be honest neither Al or Joe is the right person. We as a county need to look outside the box and maybe bring someome to run next term that can give us what we need and frankly what we deserve. Our next typic should be how we can change the Judicial system of Walton County so that it protrays truth instead of ignorance. Now let's start a forum on that and I can provide more than enough topics to talk about.

Your are there to protect us. They should have a higher standard than anything in any of their county's citizens closet. and yes we do this anonymously because they punks or their henchmen will be right outside our house watching and harassing. BTW I have a doctorate, so don't they to belittle people on educational status.
