TBI: Woman paid pills to have ex-husband murdered

What is going on with the Dottie Floyd case? Big news but no follow up.

Whaddaya mean, follow-up? That would require, ya know, journalism. It's much easier just to regurgitate a TBI press release in a dozen papers and call it a job well done.

I know first-hand that this story is more nuanced than what has been or will ever be reported. By the time the AP picked up the State Gazette story, it was already out of date.

After witnessing the press "coverage" of this story, I now have to question everything I read in the newspaper. Hopefully more of the details of this case will become available so that this woman is no longer portrayed simply as a drug-crazed murderer. Something about this thing stinks to high heaven.

so what is this ???? this just gonna end up like another mary winkler story ??? what is it? you live in that area and automatically you can just get off that easy with these kind of charges ? interesting .........

There is a lot to this story. Shiny New Cynicism is on to something about journalism. I have been following this story & there is a lot to it! This has nothing to do with the area that this woman is from......
The justice system has failed this woman & her children in the past. Yes, I know this first hand-
Dottie was not in this alone- so truly dont believe everything in the papers that make her sound like a crazed druggie woman trying to kill her ex. This woman was driven by the person who set this whole thing up- yes he is out free on the lose today but I pray that justice will be served! I urge all of you not to form an opinion, wait & see how this whole thing turns out- it will be an intersting ride, so hang on!!!!

She was stupid! She should have done a bobit on him. When a woman gets tired of a man running around on her, just cut it off. Some women get tired of a man bringing home infections because he wants a barfly. I saw a local married man, in another town with a well known barfly. A businessman, that is well known, and people on radio calls him a good ole boy. hmmmm, but maybe his wife is running around too???? ya never know. ahhhhh justice.
