You don't get paid for giving blood. And yes, that's the same.

And yes, they do need it bad. They just probably don't lurk on Topix all day waiting to see who's offering.

You give blood to save a life. Not because you're hoping to get a check or some cash out of the deal.

Hopefully, you never need a transfusion. Your attitude towards the process here is a band indicator of your kharma in such a situation.

I wouldn't give you my blood anyway. But, I had only asked a question. Some states do pay and some don't. I just wondered.
I have had a transfusion before and if I need one again I have my own blood stored.
Sorry if this rubbed you the wrong way. Didn't mean for it to and I also thought that by putting it on the forum someone would be checking in once in awhile.

where does the Bloodmobile announce where they are going to be...anytime I just happen to see them parked somewhere, I always have all 4 of my children with me so its not practical for me to pull in and give blood but I would love to catch them while the kids are in school. I have B positive bloodtype so they're always happy to see me in case someone needs type specific blood.
