Legislation MUST be passed to prevent this from occuring again! Puppy Mills should be outlawed and dog breeders must be regulated! Any ethical breeder should be open to gudelines and standards in breeding. People who breed dogs only for profit should not be breeding dogs!

i am thankful for the outpouring of support but its too bad it took a segment on the nightly news before folks decided they wanted to help.
there are many more dogs, horses, reptiles, etc. that are equally neglected, or worse, that can use the help but won't be making the news.
but i hope this story will serve as a call to action so that many more people will help in the ongoing fight against animal neglect.

My husband and I went there and got a beautiful Boston Terrier. We found out that he is about 7 years old. Maxxuall Smart has adjusted to my family very fast. We saw the story early this morning around 2am and were on our way to Shawnee at 8. We were glad to help. I have never owned a dog but after seeing the dogs last night we had to help. Know that one more dog has a good home.

I am thankful for people like the Baxter's who have a passion and heart to take care of animals. I also have a passion and a heart to take care of God's creatures. I saw the news report and wanted to help in some way. We could not adopt a dog because our home is full. We have 4 dogs [2 of them are rescue dogs and 2 of them are free giveaways, all are mixed breeds]. I am a big supporter of mixed breed dogs and shelters. I would love to donate my time but I live to far away. So we decided we could donate so money to help feed the dogs. For me it is a great feeling to help animals in need.

My heart goes out to these precious creatures, and more like them. I have a rescued "breeder" from a puppy mill. She was 4 years old when I got her, and although I have had her for 2 years she still goes into a corner and shivers if anyone but me tries to pick her up. She ducks her head if someone tries to pet her. People need to know that it takes a lot of compassion to adopt one of these "throw away dogs" because of the abuse they have suffered from people who look at them as a way to make a fast buck. God bless anyone who has and will give these little creatures a permanent home!

Daily Horoscope for December 9

Libra

Get out and about whenever possible today. You're feeling energized and will want to keep active at every opportunity. Leave the car at home if you can and walk to your destination instead, or have a brisk walk in your lunch-hour. It will be even better if you can take a brief holiday from your usual routine and find some different surroundings for a change.
