I am doing some research on my husbands grandfather whose birth certificate indicates he was born in Iron Belt Wisconsin on 6-3-02. His name was Joseph Rester. My husband indicated that when he was a little boy (less than 8 years old, perhaps around 1960) he visited with his Grandfather the town of Iron Belt. My husband recollects that the local paper interviewed him and printed an article because the town had a fire and only a few of the buildings survived and they spoke to him because he knew the town as a boy growing up. I was wondering, if at all possible, there was a way to find this story. My husband told me that they took pictures as well.
