Police: Mother left newborn in trunk to suffocate

A Lincolnton woman has been charged with felony child abuse after police said she left her newborn son in the trunk of a car to suffocate.

Does it matter if any of us know her or not? What we do know is that she is selfish!

There are so many safe havens in this area including Meckleburg, Gaston and Lincoln Counties which she seemed to put in the news! There is no excuse for this behavior. There are too many options out there for mothers to attempt to murder their newborn children.

There has been a lot of talk about postpartum depression, etc. She didn't have time to have "POSTpartum" depression..she just had the baby. I think it was more like a premediated action. She probably had some help!

No child deserves the treatment!
