The Amish buggy driver deserved to be hit. He was driving way too slow on MY highway and I am obviously a Very Important Person because I drive an SUV.

If you've never driven in Central Minnesota out in the country, the light on the back of the amish buggies are so dim and they're moving so slowly that you can be right on top of them before you realize what it is.

If they have a light, they have no slow moving emblem, but can use our roads without paying taxes.

Pay attention people - it could have been someone on a bicycle or a deer - why is it that nowadays it's always someone else fault - Not you - the driver should have been paying attention - I'm just glad that everyone involved is going to be alright.

If they were made to use a reflective slow moving emblem, it would be a lot better. My thinking is they don't like our ways of living, but don't hesitate to use our roads, and take our money at the roadside stands.

The more people cry about SUVs, the more I like mine.I think Prius drivers should have to pay higher taxes. Their accidents require more ambulance rides, more giant can-openers to extract the victims, they use less gas therefore generate less tax money for liberals to blow on social spending. Plus they like to go 50 mph in the fast lane. To add insult to injury they all dress like Al Franken and wear the same child molester glasses. Plus it's a proven fact that vegetarians (Prius drivers) contribute more to global warming because their veggie breath contains methane gas. Plus they all seem to have hall monitor complex. You know, that annoying kid in school who got a thrill telling on you if you didn't wait for the crossing guard to raise the flag. The kid who wears knee pads on recess so he doesn't skin his knee.

You are soooo right. They deserve to be hit for driving slower than the rest of us.

You can laugh all you want, but until you've driven in the dark and driven up on one, you have no idea how dangerous they are out on the road in the dark. The guy who hit it had probably a second to react. There was a huge court case many years ago because the Amish didn't want slow-moving signs on the back of their buggies. In all actuality they shouldn't be out there on the road after dark.
