Read Richard Slayton's "Savers of the Soul." It's a wonderful little story and great for book adiscussion group. My group had a stimulating discussion about the book last Thursday. The theme is very relevant to New Jerseyians, and I believe the author lives in New Jersey or is from NJ. So...

I read this book on the plane ride from New Jersey to Florida. It is truly a novella in the traditional sense. I loved it, because I related to the character of Shamus. I am an old man myself who has witnessed too many unwanted and ugly changes forced upon the places I have lived. The author told a great story about people who want to remain simple. Read this book if you have some time. You can read it in one sitting.

Daily Horoscope for December 9

Scorpio

If something is bothering you, it's important that you say so now, loudly and clearly. It's no good bottling things up any longer because that will only lead to resentment and a slow-burning anger. However, it's important that you know when to shut up too, otherwise you might overstate your case or sound so demanding that you turn others against you.
