Salvia isn't an addictive substance and most people who try it don't use it for long. It's a self-limiting substance in that the short duration of the experience and the intensity make it nothing more than a passing interest for most users.
Its characteristics do not lend themselves well to social gathering style atmospheres. It's like the article says; it's more of a self-exploration substance that most people don't use more than a couple of times before saying, "That was interesting but I'm done with it." There is no need to make it illegal. Requiring the purchaser and user to be over 18 is a better way to go than creating a black market for the substance and filling prisons with curious adults. If a person can decide to professionally kill people and be shot at when he or she turns 18 (military service), having the right to make a decision whether to use substances such as salvia is certainly reasonable. |

I don't understand why people hate salvia so much. I smoked some and it gave me a 3 hour boner. It was awesome!

i took LSD last night for the first time. it opened my mind to myself. i gained positive insight as to what to do with my future and how to lead my life as a good man. and we also partook in cannabis smoking during our LSD experience. and it was totally illegal. yet there was no damage done to anyone. only positive notes came from the occasion. this insight remains illegal yet it is legal to destroy oneself and loose focus with alcohol. i have tried salvia a handful of times. i feel children should not be able to access it readily. but it should not be banned. it should be utilized by responsible adults to gain insight and purpose in their lives. you must ask yourself why our government is afraid of conscious expanding drugs like salvia. why would they be afraid of enlightened individuals?
