How do sex offenders keep offending?

How is it that a man can admit that he sexual abused a little child, and only get a slap on the hand. Wasn't in the papers, Wasn't on the news and oh yea Wasn't public knowledge? Labeled 1st time sex offender so only reg. as level 1 offender so on the www. criminaljustice.state.ny.us/ns or/search_index.htm you can't find him because he has only admitting to abusing one... and level one is not online, only level 2 & 3 is there. but if you have his name and d-date you can call the 800 number and get his info and conviction. When in reality he abused his kids, his grandkids, his friends kid. He grooms them, sets up the family to trust him, only to make a child fullfill his sexual needs/wants.. HE IS SICK! He has been doing this for 40 some years,or more, and only gets probation? and has to be in his home by a certain time. What he only can abuse when the sun goes down? He can come and go as he pleases, take his family shopping, go to restaurants? Can live right next to trailer parks where there is easy access to many children? where is the right of the victim? Victims are outcasted from Family, Friends, they are made to feel dirty, wrong and unloved now... Where is the justice for these children to come out with the truth of who is abusing them? He is in our Community and no one knows it.. I totally agree with you, it seems to me that the offender has more rights than the victim, he was suppose to be on house arrest and and not allowed around anyone under the age of 18. Tell me how he is able to go shopping all the time and can go to resturants? Just dosent seem fair, in the mean time the child is still suffering because she trusted this man so much, he was everything to her(just like a grandfather),hell she even called him grandpa...She was scared to testify against him, so they gave him a plea bargain(ya a slap on the hand and don't do it again). Tell me what you say to a child when they keep saying over and over i didnt want to hurt him by telling on him and i still love my grandpa. Where is the rights for these poor innocent children that some creep comes along and destroys their innocence?

We need to start some kind of awareness for the Community... Something that these so called (level 1 offenders)can't escape from the PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE... because most of the time the 1st time they get caught is NOT the 1st time they abused someone... GOD PLEASE help us make sense of all of this! I feel pity for this offender.. I want you to go into his heart to let him know this is WRONG, he has hurt to many people! To many families.

need to put up a billboard with all these offenders "smugly" faces so our children can be aware....

hell we have one of those in willseyville he sits around all day on his public asisstance smokes dope all day and contemplates his next next abstract event.

these offenders should be turned over to the family of the ones they abused and the family should have 24 hours to do as they please and after the time is up the police pick the offender back up dead or alive no questions asked
