Lake Michigan Phenomenon

Is is just me, or has anybody else noticed strange weather and other strange phenomenon in Lake Michigan around Arcadia since 1995. Most of the time storms dissapate when they approach the Lake Michigan shorline near Arcadia. This seems strange to me. Most stronger storms in the last years have hit just north and south of the area. It almost seems like the storms are forced north or south by some strange force. Im not sure if precipitation is down in the last couple years in the region either, but I would like that information from farmers in the area. I would also be interested to hear stories of weird phenomenon in Lake Michigan sighted by people from the region. I know we have all spent enless hours at the scenic lookout on the north bluff of Arcadia on M-22. Look forward to your stories!

It's my father. He scares the storms to the north or south so that they won't ruin his golfing and puttering. I think the weather is afraid of him.

It's the giant sucking from Lansing. It diverts everything to the south.

I honestly think its due to the topography of the area. Has anyone else heard about the history of Arcadia, specifically surrounding a hitman that used to hide out there? I just read a book by a guy that claims a "Mr. Crane" was killing people in Arcadia from as far back as the early 1800's..Please post any info you might have about "Mr. Crane if you please" the book.
