Walmart is bad enough on normal days. There is no way I am even going to chance going there on Thanksgiving or Black Friday if there is even the possbilty of an employee walkout. There are plenty of other stores with deals just as good that don't treat their employees like animals so they don't have labor problems. Serves walmart right - they are getting a dose of their own medicine from their own employees.

My guess is that there will not be a walk out of any significance. Most workers cannot afford to miss any work and will be intimidated by the threat of cutting their hours, etc. It will be a non-event.

My experience says that 90% of WalMart hourly employees are in the category "if they were any dumber, they couldn't work there and if they were any smarter they wouldn't work there". Just sayin.

Oh, they care much more about the customer, which doesn't say much.
I got a call from a HR Market person one time about a customer in the store, she said "do whatever it takes to make her happy." I went to investigate, found out she cussed out the employee in front of several customers, threatened the employee with physical harm, etc. I didn't do anything but send her on her way. In a few moments, got a call again from the HR person, asked why I didn't take care of the lady. I told her why, physical threats, cussing, crazy, etc. I was told again, "take care of what she wants, or it is your job", "call me when it is done". Called her back, told her I gave the woman what she wanted. The HR lady never asked about the employee, just said "man I am glad it didn't get to _________ desk".(Cant remember who the senior manager was she was talking about).
I had customers tell me "if you don't give me what I want, I will call (market manager)", they had his number saved in their phone.
Glad I got away from that hell hole.

Daily Horoscope for May 25

Aries

Your emotions have the upper hand, making you rather fiery and fervent. That's great if you're hoping for a passionate encounter with you-know-who, because you'll be really hot stuff. However, in non-sexual situations you could become somewhat tempestuous and irritable, especially if you suspect that things aren't going the way you want.
