4-wheelers on pirates cove road.

I do not have any problem with people riding 4-wheelers,but when they are outat 3:30 in the morning ribbing up their engines so loud it wakes me up from a dead sleep,that does irritate me to the most. The way I look at it there is a time for everything,and riding on pirates cove road waking people up at that time of the morning is unacceptable.

Call the sheriff and have them come out. They WILL take care of the situation. You are absolutely right about it being wrong at that time of the morning.

Yeah right. I call the sheriff every weekend because they run around olive hamlett rd from fri-sun night. Large groups run the refuge, and creek beds. They congregate at the vfw, and even promote rides. Wish they would shut it down.

The only thing they could get them for is riding an atv on the roadway. Even with that they have to catch them in the act. Unfortunately there is not a noise ordinance in the county, so people can be as loud as they want to be...

Don't want to sound argumentative, but what I said is true. There isn't a noise ordinance in the county. call dispatch and ask. They won't get in trouble for safety gear because Kentucky is a no helmet state. The insurance statement doesn't apply either because the vehicles are personal property that's not suppose to be on the road anyway. They can get in trouble for riding an atv on the road but most judges here would throw that out. However, you can have a deputy come out and ask them to stop.
